Where are we going today?
Science CAN be fun...wait...science IS fun, especially when you experience attractions like the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, where kids can learn through experiments, touching, feeling, and using their imagination!
The center has over 100 fun and exciting interactive exhibits which are all based around teaching children about science. Over eight galleries, the whole family can experience the wonders of science together!
Have you ever touched a tornado? Have you ever created shadows...that are colorful!? Have you ever really examined the vibrations of a guitar string as it's strummed? These are the kind of things kids can encounter at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center!
We are all made up of the same cells and muscles, but how does the human body really work? In Celluar Journey you can explore all about what we are made up of, and how we all work together!
Development of the senses is so important in kids, which is why the Look! Touch! Listen! exhibit lets kids engage their mind as they use all of their senses in the fun attraction.
Have you got younger creative minds in the family? Then Kid City is JUST for them! Those little kids can play on toys and get creative with activities just for them. Pretty cool!
We haven't even begun to scratch the surface with what you can experience!
The center also has the world's FIRST IMAX Dome Theater - which give you an amazing experience as you watch some of the biggest films on the planet! It will give you the illusion of being suspended in space because of how the configuration wraps around you. Pretty exciting!
For family fun, education, experiments, and interactive fun, then the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center should be on your list for your next family day out!
Enjoy science - we KNOW you will!

What people are saying?
Awesome museum for kids and families. It's interactive, big and full of activities. The Balboa Park location makes it easy to get to and enjoy. The Museum has the only IMAX Dome Theater in Southern California and all the shows we've seen were great. Recently, we saw Perception, which is a live magic/illusion show associated with the exhibit, Illusion. It was the best show we've seen and that's saying a lot! The gift shop has lots to pick from so if you don't want to buy anything for yourself or your kids, avoid it (you will find something you like...Read More

This place is crazy fun! I went with a group of teenagers- which are terribly hard to impress- and even they had a riot. There are a lot of hands on displays and interactive exhibits, so everyone can get involved. The IMAX films are a blast, if you haven't seen one yet, you should get on it. This place really is an experience!

A great place for visiting family and friends. Everyone loves the IMAX. The kids, and grownups, really get a kick out of the hands on science exhibits.

The exhibits were interesting and kept up well. The special Illusion exhibit had several new tech, sound, and emotional illusions that were neat. Not just the same old eye tricks. It was busy but we toured the whole center and loved every minute. The only disappointment was that we were too late for the kids build they were doing that day.

Not worth the price, basically all you are paying for is a bunch of illusions that kids could care less about, some activities you can talk to your kids about and a show that they are not very interested in. probably should cut the cost of the adults tickets in half. oh btw about 10% of the exhibits were broken on non functional when we went through.

The Museum has a cafe which has grab and go type items and limited seating to enjoy it.
