Awesome museum for kids and families. It’s interactive, big and full of activities. The Balboa Park location makes it easy to get to and enjoy. The Museum has the only IMAX Dome Theater in Southern California and all the shows we’ve seen were great. Recently, we saw Perception, which is a live magic/illusion show associated with the exhibit, Illusion. It was the best show we’ve seen and that’s saying a lot! The gift shop has lots to pick from so if you don’t want to buy anything for yourself or your kids, avoid it (you will find something you like and kids will want everything). The Museum has a cafe which has grab and go type items and limited seating to enjoy it.

This place is crazy fun! I went with a group of teenagers- which are terribly hard to impress- and even they had a riot. There are a lot of hands on displays and interactive exhibits, so everyone can get involved. The IMAX films are a blast, if you haven’t seen one yet, you should get on it. This place really is an experience!

A great place for visiting family and friends. Everyone loves the IMAX. The kids, and grownups, really get a kick out of the hands on science exhibits.

The exhibits were interesting and kept up well. The special Illusion exhibit had several new tech, sound, and emotional illusions that were neat. Not just the same old eye tricks. It was busy but we toured the whole center and loved every minute. The only disappointment was that we were too late for the kids build they were doing that day.

Not worth the price, basically all you are paying for is a bunch of illusions that kids could care less about, some activities you can talk to your kids about and a show that they are not very interested in. probably should cut the cost of the adults tickets in half. oh btw about 10% of the exhibits were broken on non functional when we went through.
