the engines and cabooses are great… I just wish they had a passenger car, dining car and a club car for children go walk thru.. back when trains were the main mode of travel these cars were very elegant you don’t see that anymore.. which is a shame.. Oklahoma and Texas have an agreement for passenger rail service. Kansas has yet to jump on the bandwagon.. I for one with my G-daughter would ride the train down to TX. for something different to do on a weekend..

The beauty of this museum is in its simplicity. There’s aren’t a whole lot of trains there, but it cost next to nothing and the kids would be content playing for hours (even though the adults won’t). I loved that it was literally about 30 feet from the railroad track with a train going by at least once an hour. Also a great place for a toddler’s birthday party. the kids love the caboose.
