When I was a child, the staff at that locale treated my family like peasants, followed us around the "russian arts exhibit" presumably to see if we were going to get their establishment featured on cops. I never forgot it. Snooty prigs.

My wife and i have lived here for 12 months and have been to the Grace Museum four times. We love going! It is such a treat to see the changing exhibits. We also like seeing the history of Abilene, it is very interesting. They have a great place for kids to play and learn. I would recommend donating to get the free passes. As much as we go, i think we might!

PS. Got the passes and are well worth it. I think we paid $75 with a teacher discount, originally $100. You get free passes for friends/family. Definitely would recommend!

This review is not for the actual Museum portion of the Grace Museum, this is for the Grace Museum as a venue for wedding receptions and other items. This review is not for the actual Museum portion of the Grace Museum, this is for the Grace Museum as a venue for wedding receptions and other items. The Grace Museum is a beautiful location in Abilene for receptions, but beware, they will sweet talk you on making your reservation and then treat you as if your event is nothing. My wife and I had our wedding reception there in 2011 and had multiple events where we were displeased with the management and staff. We booked our reservation and coordinated our layout with Kim and then did not deal with her again. With the coordinated layout, we then told on the day of our reception that we could not do the layout we wanted because of an issue the facility was having but failed to mention to us. When asked how long the Grace had known about the issue, we were told they had known about the issue two weeks prior to our event and just did not notify us beforehand. This was not a major kink, but still was an inconvenience. The big issue we had with the Grace was with a table cloth. There was a miscommunication about who the table cloth belonged to, so our wedding coordinator left the cloth with a specific employee. When the rightful owner of the table cloth was found out, the Grace was less then helpful finding the table cloth. They would tell us they would call at a certain time and then we would have to call them to see what the situation was. We were told it was not at their facility, that it was at the dry cleaners (for two weeks), that the specific employee was a volunteer thus they could not be reach to find out about it, our wedding coordinator and my wife was lying about it, and that it was ultimately our responsibility to deal with. To resolve the issue, we paid for the table cloth. In interesting fashion, our table cloth was found by the linen’s lady 3 weeks later in use by the Grace at another wedding. For this headache, I can not recommend anyone use them for a wedding reception even though their facility is quite nice. They were very unprofessional and childish when dealing with conflicts and left a very sour taste in our mouth.
