Where are we going today?

Did you ever think a trip to Las Vegas would have you face to face with a real life shark? Well, welcome to Vegas, and the Golden Nugget Shark Tank Tour!

This fun experience let's the family get right up close and personal with these mysterious creatures of the deep.

This behind the scenes tour is run by one of the marine biologists on staff, and let's kids find out all about the inner workings of the 200,000 gallon shark aquarium that sits in the Golden Nugget Resort. Of course it does, it is Vegas after all!

A fun family experience, the Shark Tank Tour lets you learn all about how the sharks live, and what they feast on. Do you know what kind of fish they love? There is only one way to find out in Vegas!

You can even learn how the feeding process works. It's quite a sight!

There are more encounters that you can have with these great creatures, especially if you go for a dip in the pool. There, you can shoot down the water slide and THROUGH the tank! If you are dining in one of the restaurants, you can also say hello there too as you are tucking into a tasty meal.

There are plenty of fun things to do with kids in Vegas, and the Golden Nugget Shark Tank Tour is one of them. It's not all about the adults, so kids, get ready to explore these impressive creatures up close - and don't forget to stop into the shop at the end and grab yourself a real life sharks tooth!

Amazing family fun!

I mean, look. You're on Fremont Street. The Golden Nugget isn't the Taj Mahal, and you should probably check Yelp to find somewhere else to eat (may I suggest Rachel's Kiitchen up the street), but it's clean, recently renovated, and has a pretty darn nice pool with a shark tank and waterslide going right through it. They'll skimp on the wifi, the water, even the coffee in the room -- but the two Starbucks in the lobby are extremely handy if you're kind of hungover and not willing to venture out into the downtown madness just yet.

The Golden Nugget is very clean, and extremely upscale in looks. As soon as you walk in, the chandelier overhead is a reassuring sign that they take pride in keeping things clean. Sadly this is where the Golden Nugget stopped being okay for me. I specifically went to the buffet on word from a friend and it was horrendous. The food selection is extremely small for a Las Vegas hotel, and the quality of the food was amazing for the Meats & Cheeses however the quality of the rest was sub-par. The food was over cooked or under cooked, and the salad...Read More

Had the worst Las Vegas experience ever! After checking in, we went to our room, there was luggage in it. So we haul our luggage back down to the front desk to get another room. Got a new room, haul our luggage back up and it also had luggage in it so we haul our luggage back down to the front desk and finally get a new room with no luggage. This should have been a clue not to gamble at the Nugget. The slots were so tight you couldn't even play for a couple minutes because they sucked all your money from you. Beers were $5 each, and the water...Read More

The food selection is extremely small for a Las Vegas hotel, and the quality of the food was amazing for the Meats & Cheeses however the quality of the rest was sub-par. The food was over cooked or under cooked, and the salad bars greens were quite badly wilted & browned. The plates are kept so hot, you cannot bare to hold on to them when you first pick them up and I am surprised we did not hear more people dropping these. Overall, if you are staying at the Golden Nugget I think you will be pleased at the looks and feel, but the main reason we went turned out to be a bad reason to go.

Beers were $5 each, and the water bottle in the hotel room was $4. If you want to use their coffee in their room, its $10, and we tried to use the hotel shampoo but it was empty! Did they just put the bottle back on the counter without checking it first? The rooms we not all that great. They did comp us a breakfast but the buffet was horrible and hardly any food. Do you call tater tots, hashbrowns? I will never stay here again nor will I recommend this to anyone.
