Stroll the length of the 100-foot Perennial Border, discover the Old Garden, hidden behind masses of rhododendron, and admire the view of Lake Sunapee from the formal Rose Terrace and hillside rock garden where a brook trickles to a Japanese water lily pool. Just a lovely place to spend a day. The house is beautiful and captures that elegance associated with the late 19th century. The grounds are a real treat, containing more varieties of flowers than I knew existed. In addition, there are trails that encircle the property and run along the edge of Lake Sunapee. For more experienced hikers, Sunset Hill accross the street is a more up-hill climb with a view down to the lake.
A great place to have a garden wedding as well.
