I had been wanting to check out this Dayton gem for a long time because the building itself is a beautiful, historical masterpiece that can be seen from the interstate. The inside is very impressive and ornate, like something in a movie set. Admission is free for first-timers and students. The collection is impressive and very diverse. I only got 25% through the exhibits and was there for nearly 2 hours. The rooms inside are exquisite, demanding of your attention and respect. This was a reasonable and interesting way to spend an evening, but the collections just seemed to be a little lacking. Still, if you like art, there are some things that are easily appreciated.

Have loved going to this place ever since I was a child. Great selection of art as well as a beautiful building. One of the must visits in the Dayton area.

It's just like an art museum should be and I had to remind myself that I was in Dayton, not NYC. I will definitely be coming back for the upcoming exhibit on Japanese Art Deco in November.
