Where are we going today?

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is recognized as the best seaside park in the world. Our vibrant, bustling amusement park is renowned for its great rides, remarkable history, spectacular beach setting, and friendly attitude.

The Boardwalk has been operating since 1907, and it hasn’t missed a beat! We believe in affordable family fun - that’s why admission is free, summer entertainment is included, and ride tickets are affordable.

Two of our rides are National Historic Landmarks, but don’t let that fool you. The 1924 Giant Dipper wooden roller coaster still thrills riders with its hair-raising dips and turns and the Looff Carousel's unique ring toss provides a surprising challenge. Our indoor arcades offer the largest selection of games in Northern California with the latest video and redemption games, pinball machines, a vintage game collection, two-story miniature golf course, and laser tag arena. There's also a family bowling center right across the street.

Many people visit just for the food. Choices include corn dogs made from a secret family recipe, deep fried artichokes, chocolate covered bacon, and deep fried Twinkies!

The Boardwalk spans a wide sandy beach along Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary where it’s not unusual to see otters, dolphins, sea lions, and even whales swimming just offshore.

I've been to the Boardwalk countless times from childhood to present day and every time is a fun filled day or night! The Giant Dipper is a historic landmark and you must ride it if you're ever in Santa Cruz.

In the summer, they have movies on the beach! And live bands performing on multiple days of the week. You also can't beat unlimited ride nights if you bring in a can of soda. Fun fun for everyone! Another must have is their corn dogs, mmm so good.

Great for the kiddos. Nice that there is not an entrance fee. Very affordable with many ticketing options. The "chaperone rides free" was misleading, not true. They give you a list of about 8 rides that are not supposed to collect for chaperones (if you have young kids). We found that half the rides were closed and only 2 honoured the chaperone rule. The ride operators (not all, but many) could use some training in customer service or attitude adjustment. Other than this frustration, this place is AWESOME. The beach was clean, facility was clean,...Read More

I got my wife by the the hand and left watching my back all the way out. You should not have drinking alcohol in a place thats designed for familys. Next get the trash off the boardwalk all their there is to cause trouble if this means charge an admission so they can't so freely hang out DO IT! You have ruined the Santa Cruz we have known to love, I'm not just speaking for myself everyone I have talked to said DUH where have you been this has been going on for a few years now they new better than to go there an there from Ca.
