The Caddo-Pine Island Oil and Historical Museum is located in Oil City, LA, about 20 miles north of Shreveport on State Highway 1.

Where are we going today?

The museum exhibits items concerning the region\'s famous oil history, the associated growth of area oil-boom towns, the railroad, and previous local Native American settlement. The museum also maintains an extensive local history library and collected photographic archives. In 1997 the museum was added as a state museum under the Louisiana Secretary of State.
