Directions

Swing through the trees at 6600 West Maple Road in West Bloomfield Township, which is about 30 minutes from Detroit. This is on the campus of the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit.

Enter from the Drake St entrance. Parking is free for all guests! Can you see Tarzan yet?!

Where are we going today?

There's nothing like getting outdoors and having fun - and here you really will be getting in the thick of it...because you'll be in the trees!

As you arrive you'll see a series of platforms above connected by wood, cables, super fun zip lines and rope....that's what you'll be tackling, but it will be fun, challenging and rewarding.

Each step is a challenge, but don't worry - you don't have to be as good as Tarzan to complete it. The trails are color-coded so you can pick which level you want, from beginner (these are the easiest and lowest), to intermediate right through to advanced.  Like anything, the more you do it, the better you will get at it!  So hang in there! (Pun intended)

If you haven't ever done it before, no need to worry because they will give you a safety orientation before you start climbing.

By the time you have finished you will have worked on your balance, co-ordination and feel great about yourself!

If you love it and want to come again, there's a good chance you will have completely new trails to attempt because they are frequently rotated.

Your tickets are valid for three hours, so make sure you get ready before buying your ticket to allow you maximum time in the trees! You don't need to reserve so if you just fancy it one day - jump in that car and head on down!

If you do meet Tarzan though....say hi from us!

I'm Hungry!

All that climbing will make you hungry! If you don't fancy a banana like the swinging monkeys, then you can visit the small Adventure Store which sells snacks and hot and cold drinks. If you are a group you could arrange local pizza delivery or from one of the restaurants! .

Healthy Eating!

You are allowed to bring in your own food, so if you have dietary requirements or want to ensure your food is healthy, then feel free! .

Any Top Tips?

If you don't want to climb but want to watch your friends and family, you most certainly can, and you don't need to buy a ticket! .

More information

There aren't any height restrictions for the ropes courses and zip lines, but they courses are for those over 5. There are, however, age restrictions on the trails - for examples only 7 - 9 year olds can use the yellow trail, and those over 10 can use the blue trail with and adult. .

Awesome time. They have different courses requiring different strength and agility levels. Went with a small group of varying age and skill levels (ages 15 to 50). We all had fun doing the courses that we felt comfortable with. The equipment is first rate and everyone felt comfortable and secure. If I had to say a negative it would be that they need some add on services to round out the day. We were all done by noon and nothing left to do but go home. Maybe add a mini golf, bike/hiking paths, a snack bar, an area to have a picnic lunch with some...Read More

With the groupon price of $22 a person then the further discount of 10% off that price it was magical. Three hours is perfect because fatigue begins to set in around that time and I recommend doing it at night.

We went with kids aged 14, 14, 12, and 9. The oldest could do every course by themselves. I had to accompany the youngest two. There are five courses of four degrees of difficulty. We first tried the harder of the two green courses, and it was surprisingly challenging. In two hours the kids each did four courses. Everybody was very happy and had a good workout. There's a lot of climbing, balance, and strength used to complete the courses. This is a great outing, especially for anybody athletic. The equipment is fantastic. You can go at...Read More

Went here the other day with my girlfriend and we had an absolute blast! They have 5 different courses of different ability levels and difficulties. The tickets are only good for 2 hours of actual course time but we were able to complete 4 of the 5 courses in that time frame. The equipment is very easy to use and the staff was excellent! Helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend to a friend and would definitely go back for me. The only issue that we really had was that on one course we took, we got held up by some people in front of us...Read More

Do not zipline were you are not supposed to. I got really hurt today because I didn't want to have to be rescued so I ziplined a course. Horrible idea. Don't be stupid like me.

Maybe add a mini golf, bike/hiking paths, a snack bar, an area to have a picnic lunch with some hammocks to rest in. Something like that and it would make for a full day adventure. Maybe they will expand it in the future.

You can go at your own pace; no guides needed, unlike other ziplines I've done. There's a very happy feeling to arrive at the top of a zipline and have the roller on your belt. The clip system requires that one of two clips be attached at all times. One clip won't open until the second has been locked to a cable and "tweezled" using a special fitting on the cable. There's no way to make a mistake with the safety clips. The harnesses are as safe as can be. You still need to be careful because if you slam into something or crash into somebody you could get hurt. But falling to the ground seems impossible.

The only issue that we really had was that on one course we took, we got held up by some people in front of us who were not able to complete the course. The staff had to go up and help them down, but the whole process took some time. The staff will allow you more time if you do get held up like we did. I would like to see more courses added over time.
