spent 4 days/3 nights the week of October 6, 2014. The room was very clean as was the bathroom. The lounge was cozy with the big fireplace and board games to play were available. The view from this hotel was spectacular and the continental breakfast served each morning was decent. For the price and location, highly recommend this place. It was very quiet and close to Main Street as well as to other ammenities on Mountain Road.

I have been coming here since I was I little kid so for the past 16 years and I can honestly tell you its the best resort I have ever stayed at. The people working there are incredibly kind, accommodating and the vibe of the place is so relaxed and homey. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are very clean and its the perfect place to have an escape. I would definitely recommend this hotel!!

We brought our daughters with us to Stowe for a show and stayed at this hotel. The girls LOVED the pool and hot tub. We loved the hot tub--the pool was a bit chilly for me especially after lounging in the hot tub. The continental breakfast was nice--good coffee and good selection. The room was clean and the beds were firm but comfortable. It was a great experience. The rooms were priced right and we will return!

We slept in our vehicle due to the smell and lack of cleanliness. Reserved a room at the Mountain Road Resort for New Years Eve and it was unbearable, and nothing could be done to accommodate us (including no refund because we used United Airlines to book it). The room smelled like a wet dog, floor was very dirty (the receptionist had to come up and vacuum, and admitted it was disgusting, but could do nothing), fire place did not work, fridge/stove/cabinet thing was outdated, leaking and noisy. Bathroom towels were dirty, bathroom door wouldn't...Read More

The Mountain Road Resort at Stowe is a wonderful small privately held property located on the Mountain Road. We love that the hotel is pet friendly and the grounds are large enough to allow for walks with our pet and our children can sled or build snowmen on the property. While this may not be the pinnacle of luxury the rooms are always spotlessly clean and every request is immediately taken care of. Our kids love watching movies in the indoor heated pool and spend hours plaing pinball in the game room. One area where the Mountain Road Resort...Read More

One area where the Mountain Road Resort excels beyond any other in Stowe is personalized service. You are always greeted by name and made to feel that this is your home away from home. Eric and his staff really have personalized service down to a science. We enjoy spending time in the lobby after skiing having a glass of wine by the fire. Eric even waxed our skis for free! Wonderful place and we really recommend it.
