I don’t normally write reviews, but after reading the bad ones I felt it necessary. I’ve been going to Space Farms since the early 90’s & I now bring my daughter there. I’ve never felt like they neglect their animals in any way & I’ve never seen trash in the enclosures. People who were complaining about the taxidermy need to go to the SF website or walk around the museums on site & read a little. I know that takes time & effort, but I promise it won’t kill anyone. It’s not creepy, it’s not like you’re going to see an animal alive one day & hanging on the wall the next. Tbh I don’t even think those animals(hanging on the wall) have changed since I was little. Everyone I’ve ever talked to was friendly, the food is good & the old car collection is always awesome to see. The only thing that stops me from stopping by more often is the travel time & admission price (single parent problems).

I have been to visit Space Farms over 20 times ever since I was a small child. The budget is not there for it to be a world famous upscale zoo. However, being as ive been going for over 20 years I must say that the improvements they have made are tremendous. I think the Animals on display inside (along with hundreds of artifacts) for free is worth the trip alone. Where else can you see Zoo animals along with antique cars and toys? Space farms is and has always been ok in my book. Beleive me, with the number of visitors this place gets annually, they must be doing something right. Right?

Been to Space Farms a couple of times already (loved it) going back this week and was just getting info to plan our trip where I read these reviews, Funny how all the bad reviews are from people who put animals well being above that of humans, Why are these people even going to a Zoo, anything short of 5 star accommodations would not suffice them. Really looking forward to our visit,it will be my youngest son’s 1st visit

Depressed … that’s the mood I was in when I left this place. The establishment itself is pretty much a joke. You are welcomed by an old barn filled with dead animals, and the live animals are almost better off joining them. The caged wildlife pace back in forth, showing signs of a poor mental state. The lions and tigers are fed roadkill and the male lion in particular looks either overfed or under exercised, its hard to tell. The only reason I would recommend this place is in hopes that your financial contribution will help these poor animals. Something tells me though, that that’s not where the money goes.
