Southern Nevada Zoo Vegas
Where are we going today?
The Southern Nevada Zoological-Botanical Park (a.k.a. Las Vegas Zoo) is managed by the non-profit 501 (C)(3) Nevada Zoological Foundation. Our shady 3-acre park is located just 15 minutes northwest of the Las Vegas Strip. The zoo exhibits over 150 species of plants and animals (for more information click here). As the only zoo in Las Vegas and the only year-round zoo in Nevada, we work hard to fulfill our mission to educate and entertain the public by displaying a variety of plants and animals.

It's so damn sad. that all people can do is whine about this place, and not volunteer to make it a better place. or donate some money to make the habitats bigger and better, well it's gone now hope you are all HAPPY ! ! ! !

Some of the "poor - fair" are possibly unfair, but as we didn't actually enter the zoo for the reasons below maybe it is right!
When we finally found the zoo,
we couldn't see a car park and as the area itself around the zoo doesn't look particularly safe to park,
that wasn’t a good start!
Also we could see some of the "exhibits" inside the zoo from outside,
they didn't fill us with confidence either.
Consequently we left without further investigation.

This was the worst experience I have had in a while. There are less then ten animals. A lot of birds and about four snakes. The pigeons out number the animals. Most of the animals were in their little house so the kids did not get to see them. Very disappointing.
