Where are we going today?

Most families in the USA are familiar with the record-breaking thrill rides at Six Flags Great America, but in reality they have pretty much EVERY kind of ride for every family member, and every level of bravery!

Did you know there are SEVEN miles of intense roller coaster tracks? How amazing is that! Don't worry if roller coasters aren't your thing though, because Six Flags Great America has a ton of classic rides, as well as family friendly rides.

Oh, did we mention there is a waterpark too! Hurricane Harbor is a great place to take a break from all the thrills...by enjoying thrills in water! That's a cool down!

For those slightly taller kids (and take note of the height restrictions!), there are amazing rides like the electrifying American Eagle - where the double-track will take you on a race to the finish line! Enjoy loops and twists with that masked super hero Batman, or plummet (yes, we used the word plummet!) 12.5 stories through the air for that skydiving experience!

Did you know that the Demon is one of the first coasters in the entire world that featured a double corkscrew? Welcome aboard!

But like we said, they aren't all for the brave. There's the fun Fiddler's Fling that will certainly get you into a spin, the relaxing Hurricane Bay with waves just like the ocean, and those Krazy Kups where those little spinners can twirl the day away in their very own mini-tea cup!

Six Flags Great America isn't just rides and water - there are fun events and entertainment for you to enjoy too! Make sure you check out the schedule when you arrive so you can plan your day around what's on - you won't want to miss out!

We all know about the iconic Six Flags, so why not try it out for yourself and have that thrilling and splashing family day out in Illinois you know you will never forget!

Every time i've gone we got to ride everything. Went on saturday labor day weekend and it was amazing. We arrived when the part opened around 10 and there was a big rush to get to goliath everyone running and screaming. We got the second ride of the day which was fun. The line was only 1 hour long too! We left around 3 not because of the fact that it was unclean, or employees were mean but because we had rode all the popular rides and even the unpopular ones three or more times! Everytime i've gone the park has been very clean, the staff has been...Read More

I love the experience of SF, but the lines are forever. Go ONLY if you have time to wait in line for 45 minutes to 3 hours, so I don't suggest going if you have a deadline. But, there are restaurants very near by, for lunch. (I don't recommend the food, unless you have loads of money.) The water park (Hurricane Harbour) is very fun, and very safe. There are lifeguards all over, in a non-intimidating manner. I would suggest this for families.

I recently went to Freight Fest on a Saturday when the park was open until midnight and I was disappointment. I had been to Fright Fests in the past and had a ball but now I feel like Great America is a rip off. First parking is $22, on top of the $45 ticket (I had a discount code). We decided to go around 3 because we wanted to see some of the scary characters in the evening. It just so happened to be pretty cold that day, so we assumed there wouldn't be too much a crowd. WRONG. Every roller coaster had at lest a 2.5 hour wait and it seemed...Read More

Everytime i've gone the park has been very clean, the staff has been very nice. However there was one portion where we were getting our goliath photos and we had to wait for about 20 minutes because the photocopier broke but that was a minor downfall to a great day! Would tell anyone to go to this park.

WRONG. Every roller coaster had at lest a 2.5 hour wait and it seemed like there were only one or two trains going at once, so it was frustrating to be standing still in line for hours in the cold. I get that we chose to go on a cold day but come on! The lines would have been even longer if it was warmer! After only going on two roller coasters we hear the announcement that the scary characters are finally coming out at 8:30, which seemed pretty late considering its freight fest. It ended up dropping to 40 degrees and we couldn't find any hot chocolate any where so we decided to leave because the lines were still at least 1.5 hours. So after dropping over $100 we got on two rides and saw a total of 4 scary characters.
