I've been skiing for 20 years and this mountain has some of the worst customer service I've experienced. I've never had them respond to questions about passes or general mountain info. Bar isnt anything special and there is very little going on at the mountain besides kids ski races which is cool if that's your thing but no attractions for people who dont have children so no night life here. You would think being one of the only mountains that has night skiing in Maine that they would maybe have some live music or something. Honestly spend a...Read More

This is a great mtn with great people. Love the fact that they groom at the end of day for night skiing. Blizzards Pub is a ton of fun, as you can have a few beers while the kids rip it up on the mtn.

HI, I do hope that this review gets published as it is very negative concerning customer service. The owner, CHET HOMER III, is the most DISRESPECTFUL PERSON REGARDING CUSTOMER SERVICE that i have ever met and I am 53 years old, a large business owner myself. His management staff is as DIRESPECTFUL. I COULD JUST NEVER JUSTIFY SPENDING ANOTHER PENNY AT SHAWNEE PEAK AFTER HAVING SPENT THOUSANDS on lift tickets, ski school, ski in / ski out lodging on the mountain and their affiliated ski shop, The Sporthaus during THREE different visits. I AM...Read More

Mid sized mountain run as well as a big ski resort. Night skiing and lots of other activities. Only two lifts to the top so easy to keep a group together.

Tough hill for beginnners. Can be fast and bumpy. Having said that...conditions are excellent with light powder over loose granular (and some ice under that but you won't notice).

Loon Mountain or Bretton Woods at least the money is well spent there. This mountain is so small that you feel ripped off waiting on the chair as long as you do for such a short run. I'm sure this mountain is great for new skiers or big families but I just dont see the allure for anyone else.
