Where are we going today?
If you have kids over 14 years and want a super fun way to see the city of Richmond, then head over to Segway Of Richmond Tours!
Segway of Richmond give families a way to not just SEE a city, but LEARN all about it too! It's perfect for those passing by, but it's also great for Richmond natives. You can always learn something new about your great city!
There are a number of tours that you can choose from with Segway of Richmond, so you can always pick the one that is perfect for you. It also means if you want to go back for another tour, you can see something completely different the second (or third!) time around!
For the most popular tour, check out the Richmond Landmark tour. This gives you 2 hours to see some of the most iconic sites, including the Old City Hall and it's Gothic architecture, the State Capitol grounds that were not only designed by Thomas Jefferson, but also the oldest capitol in the country, and even the church where Edgar Allen Poe's mother performed!
Another fun tour is the Hollywood Cemetery Tour, where over 2 hours you can hear stories of those who are buried there. You can see there two US presidents still lie, and even a survivor of the Titanic who had their fair share of scandal around them!
You can learn all about one of the oldest families in the city, and hear about those who played pivotal roles in the Civil War.
Segway of Richmond Tours can take you through the fascinating art throughout the city, visit some incredible museums, explore Edgar Allen Poe, and spend time in the iconic Church Hill area...to name a few!
There is SO much to see and do in Richmond, and doing it on a Segway allows you to see more during your tour time.

When can we go?
Tour times vary so check before you go!
All year round
You can always ask the tour guide if you can stop if you pass something, but best grab something to eat before or after your tour.
If you have a backpack, it's worth taking healthy snacks and bottled water. It's hard work on a Segway!.
Any Top Tips?
You can also rent the Segways from the company and enjoy time on your own!.
Doing our bit
They do give you a safety briefing of how to use the Segways before you start!.
Need a little extra help?
You do need to be physically mobile to ride a Segway, as you need to stand and you guide it with your body.
On those hot days, make sure you take sunglasses and a hat as you will need to have unobstructed vision to ride.

Buck is great. At the last minute, he helped my wife and I with transportation to our wedding. Everyone was coming from out of town, so having a piece of Richmond history to transport our guests was the perfect touch. Everyone was responsive, on time, and hospitable. I couldn't think of a better group to work with.

That lady at the front desk was rude, unfriendly and didn't even smile. When me and my friend came up there she looked and talked to us like we didn't belong there , she didn't present good customer service at all.

Had a great time in the city and loved driving the Segway. Highly recommend as a quick and fun way of getting to know any city.

I went on the free tour they had at the vcu sustainability day. When I first signed up for it I was scared I was going to fall off, crash, or just plain dislike it, but that wasn't the case. This was far more fun than I was anticipating.
At first I was hesitant, but once I got use to it I found myself wanting to own a segway. The hardest parts for me in order of difficulty were getting moving/on the first time, stopping the first couple times, and getting off the first time.

After 10 minutes getting used to the equipment is was pure fun to ride to different sites in down town Richmond. I can't wait to go on my next Segway tour.
