Searsport Shores Resort Searsport
Where are we going today?
If you want to get away with the family, why not enjoy a camping trip with a view! Searsport Shores Resort is RIGHT on the water - so much so that some of the pitch sites are right along the beach.
Enjoy that New England ocean spray!
Searsport Shores Resort is a great way to enjoy some family time together, with Maine Harbor at your fingertips, amazing local seafood nearby, water activities galore and a pretty fascinating history dating back to the 1800s!
You can park your RV along the ocean, or in a pull-through site. Pitch your tent in a shady spot or camp under a canopy of stars.
There are some super fun activities for the kids too! Kids - how do you like the sound of spending the day digging in the mud, hunting for buried treasure? Yep - we're talking about clamming! Then you can steam them over a campfire in the afternoon, and see what they taste like!
Over summer, kids can try out some art classes with artists in residence, and there is plenty of hiking in the area for those families who love to get out in the great outdoors, and enjoy some nature!
There are national parks nearby, which makes for a great day trip. You can eat Maine lobster on the shore, explore the tidal pools, or enjoy a game of basketball. You can even kayak right from the beach!
If you want solitude, there are 900 uninhabited acres on an easily accessible island, where you can spend the day hiking and exploring. Sounds pretty incredible!
An amazing New England campground giving you nature, ocean, and family fun!

I was in desperate need of rest and relaxation. Astrig and Steve are dedicated to everyone's experience. They have the facilities no matter what you are looking for in a camping getaway. Astrig was so kind and compassionate. I will post a photo of the beautiful rocks I brought home to remember my precious time there.

Stayed there over a week while we took a windjammer cruise on Penobscot Bay and toured the area. Great location. Owners and staff were terrific on all counts, including helpful and hospitable. Lots of unique vegetation, plantings and garden. Kid and family friendly, but not over-run with children. If you want "authentic, well-managed, and terrific location," this is it. If you are looking for astroturf and asphalt, Searsport Shores Ocean Camping may come up short. 100% sure we will come back when we are in the area.

Searsport Shores is our very favorite campground. We have been staying at Searsport Shores regularly since we first discovered it in 2007. What's not to love? Amazing owners, Astrig & Steve, who treat you like family, organic gardens, goats, honeybees, a beautiful beach full of sea glass and sand dollars, and little trails through the woods with hidden benches and swings in the trees.. There's even an art studio! We especially love coming for Fiber College on the weekend after Labor Day each year. The campground is immaculate and everyone takes...Read More

Our first experience was on Mother's Day when they offer free camping in return for doing work to open the campground. I got to dust off my carpentry skills. It is an awesome location, beautifully cared for, and great large tidal range waterfront, gardens, art, and fantastic owners. Astrig & Steve. We came back as paying campers in an RV (They have a great separate Tent section too) and it was just as good. We'll be back, again....and again. Great discovery!
