Where are we going today?

We know those Texas summers can get pretty hot, which is why a waterpark should be on your list this summer!

Schlitterbahn Waterpark in located in New Braunfels, and is filled with something for everyone! Rapids, thrills, rivers....you name it, they have it waiting for you!

If you're feeling brave, head on over to the Master Blaster Uphill Water Coaster. At 6 stories tall, and over 1000ft in length, it's no wonder this ride as been voted the "best water ride in the USA" - more than once!

It gives you the thrills of a roller coaster, yet you're being propelled by jets of water. Sounds pretty cool to us!

Fancy sharing an inner tube with a friend, and slide down totally enclosed water slides? Only if you're not afraid of the dark! The Black Knight will plunge you into eerie darkness, then speed down over 550ft of tunnel, twisting and turning your way to the very bottom. Good luck!

For something a little slower paced, the Torrent River allows the whole family to grab their tubes and just float along, with tidal breaks around every turn. You have to keep it interesting after all, and Schlitterbahn Waterpark certainly does that!

For those little water babies in the family, Kinderhaven is a great shallow wading pool, with a kiddie sized pirate ship and soft slides, perfect for that small sized play.  With slides and water cannons too, they can make their own sized splashes how they like to!

So grab those bathing suits, and head on down to one of the most fun waterparks in Texas! Texas has never been so COOL!

We had a fantastic time. The park was clean and not too spread out. Tons of rides. Free Parking. The allow coolers and picnic lunches. Lots of shaded spots. Thrill rides, lazy rivers, and everything in between. We left our junk on a table, went to play and came back to find ALL our stuff right where we left it. No one bothered anything. Even the food that is sold in the park is priced so that a family can eat there. Worth every penny and we would go again.

I went here for a trip with some friends and it was AMAZING. We had a tremendous amount of fun. The only thing that I didn't like was that the tower was shaking, which made me nervous, but other than that I definitely enjoyed my time here.

This place was AMAZING and HUGE. We didn't even get to visit the entire park. The people there were also very friendly. We were able to leave our belonging, have fun, run all over the place and no one bothered our things.
BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE! (Online) There are often internet deals. The line to buy tickets and get in are very long. Watch out for parking because it is kind of a nightmare so get there early!

My husband & I went with our 2 grandkids in June, 2014. We had a wonderful time - lots of fun & varied rides, shady spots for relaxing, and age-appropriate thrills for the kids. I would, however, caution anyone buying tickets on-line to be VERY careful prior to confirming your purchase. We paid almost $300 for our group of 4 for a 2-day visit; this amount was deducted from our checking account twice. When I noticed their error, I called Schlitterbahn's on-line services and was told it would take 5-7 business days for a refund. When I expressed concern...Read More

It was my first visit to your park and I was furious with how an attendant handled me and my 3yr old daughter. Our first ride was the Congo River Expedition and toward the middle of the ride a staff member (young girl) grabbed my tube and without warning yanked me away from holding my daughters tube. Before I could even ask why or what she was doing she thrust me so hard down a slide BACKWARDS that I didn't even have time to warn my baby of what was to come. All she saw was my shocked and scared face as I was thrust away from her and out of sight…...Read More

WEAR WATER SHOES!!! The bottom of some of the rides and the lazy river (actually goes into A river!) have moss and algae all over the bottom... and trust me, it feels really gross on the bottom of your feet.
Also, if you want anything to EAT i would suggest you get it an hour BEFORE CLOSING TIME! Anything after that will probably not be available, especially funnel cakes.
If you truly want to enjoy the entire experience i would rent one of the resort condos, however, you will probably need to book them 10-12 mos. in advance because they fill up rather quickly.

When I expressed concern about the delay, their representative hung up on me. I then called back, and spoke to a supervisor. She asked me to fax proof of the bank transaction, which I did the next day. I heard nothing for over 2 weeks... After numerous calls, I was finally able to connect with their accounting department. It took almost 3 weeks for us to receive our refund; we were eventually told that "you had an order hung up in our system, that is why your card was charged twice. Very unusual. We are sorry for the inconvenience." This was a lot of money for them to use, as well as a lot of money for us to be without for almost 3 weeks. A great time at the park, but HORRIBLE customer service when resolving their error!

All she saw was my shocked and scared face as I was thrust away from her and out of sight… then the lady pushed her down screaming and crying into the unknown. It ruined our visit because thereafter my daughter was terrified to ride anything... even the baby park area was upsetting her.

When I contacted management they informed me that because of my assistance in notifying them about the incident and giving them the exact time and place they were able to find the employee and reprimanded her. Also FYI - STAFF IS NOT ALLOWED TO SEPARATE A VERY YOUNG CHILD FROM THEIR MOTHER... they are permitted and required to do so for teens and all other ages that try to hold onto each other and form links... but again NOT a small child and their parent!

Schlitterbahn management was helpful and very concerned for us and took good care of us. Made a huge difference to me because I felt like our happiness was their highest concern and due to that made us customers for life!
