Where are we going today?

Are you feeling brave? We hope so, because if you visit Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Kansas City, you will be faced with the tallest water slide...in the WORLD! Do you think you can handle it!

This HUGE family water park is filled with thrills, spills, and lots of family fun for all ages - so you will find something for everyone!

But let's start with this record breaking attraction - the Verruckt! This slide dominates the skyline, and you get to be a part of it when you strap into a 3 person raft that slides you down 168ft of tube, only to be blasted back up a second massive hill....and then back down again for ANOTHER 50ft drop!

Are you ready!

Of course, if you're not quite ready for that, Schlitterbahn Waterpark has plenty of other water activities for you to enjoy. You can enjoy the many other slides that will twist and turn you down to the bottom. Some are in the dark, some you enjoy on a tube!

You can relax through the park on the Kristal River where tubes will take you around the bendy river, or you can have a boogie on the board in Boogie Bahn.

For those little water babies in the family, there are kiddie sized experiences for them, such as Pirate Ship at Henry's Hideout with a fun pirate ship to explore, and Kinderhaven, where small water feature give them their own thrills and spills.

If, after all of that, you are feeling brave again, try the Soaring Eagle Zipline! It's water fun with a difference!

So get ready this season to really make a SPLASH in Kansas City - and break some records of your own!

We were at the park on 7/30 and my girls and I waited in line for a long time to ride the Verruckt. When we got to the top, my daughter decided she couldn't ride and was very upset. Meg and Brett were the attendants at the top of the ride and they were VERY understanding and compassionate with her. I was very impressed with the time they took to try to help her feel more comfortable. Good Job Meg and Brett! Thanks for helping her instead of getting frustrated...I appreciate it!

I'm not sure why it has so many negative reviews but me & mine had a great time! We were kinda disappointed about the wait for the Verruckt or whatever it's called but there is an option to make a reservation which I would recommend to anyone who hates lines (over an hour wait without one). I also wouldn't recommend letting small children go down the raging river without supervision. My boyfriend cut up his knee pretty bad when he got off his tube for just a second. But nonetheless we had a blast! Huge park, plenty of tubes and seating, and you...Read More

Let's start with good thing - they allow packed food and sealed drinks inside.
That's the only good thing I can say about this water park.
Don't be fooled by the "attractions" listed out in the website... each actual attraction is listed with multiple names on the website. So the first thing you will feel after entering the park is "what am I going to do full day here?". Yes, all you need is couple of hours to cover all the stuff in the park and I'm not exaggerating! Do yourself a favor by spending $40 on something worthwhile!

I did like how I can bring in my own food, but 45 minutes to go down a slide is bad. They also ran out of tubes for the slide and the river. We then decided to just drink at the bar but we waited another 30 minutes to get a drink until we got tired of waiting. Worlds/Oceans of fun cost about $5 more but they have so much more to do without these problems. This was my first time and last time going here unless these issues change.

We have been getting season passes for about 4 years now. It is a great value since the gate price tickets are cheaper than Oceans of Fun, the tubes and parking are free, and you can bring in coolers with food and drinks. It has plenty to do and it's a small enough park that I'm comfortable letting my preteen daughter and friend or brother go on their own. I leave all my valuables at home and only bring in my cell and car keys. I have money put on my wristband. Then I bury my cell/keys in the bottom of my beach bag. I've never had a problem...Read More

I've never had a problem with anyone bothering my stuff at the table. I don't think the wait time on the rides are any different than OoF with the exception of Verruckt. They do have a reservation list if you get there early which is nice since you can enjoy the rest of the park while you wait for you time slot. The only thing that has disappointed me is the water released on the river thing does not have the pressure it did the first couple years so the waves are not as big and fun. That is disappointing for me. But we all love it....
