Where are we going today?
Get ready to climb the day away at Rock Spot Climbing Peace Dale! This fun indoor climbing venue in Rhode Island is perfect for the family to spend some time in a fun and active sport!
Climbing is so great for kids. They can start on the easiest levels and work their way up - seeing themselves improving as they go. They build confidence, and they improve their strength! They can also make great friends...so what's not to love!
No matter what experience level you are, you can have a great time at Rock Spot Climbing. There is bouldering - which is where you stay low to the ground and just feel your way around the holds, right above a big cushy mat.
For those who want a bit of a bouldering challenge, they actually have 80-100 bouldering problems which are re-set every 6 weeks, so you will always be finding that new challenge!
Then, there is the wall itself (Rock Spot has 11,500 square feet of walls, and 38 top rope walls!). It may look like a wall of colored holds, but in fact they are different routes to the top - each one color co-ordinated by it's difficulty level. So you can be sure to start on the easiest level, and move up as you go.
A complete beginner? Don't worry about that at all! First timers get an orientation to the safety, harnesses, ropes and techniques, as well as an introduction to belaying.
Celebrating a birthday? They would LOVE to have the birthday child and friends celebrate in a really fun and healthy way.
It's a great way to learn climbing before heading out into the big world of outdoor rock climbing!
