Directions

You will be picked up and dropped off at your hotel at a set time, depending on the location. The tour is all day in a very lovely 12 passenger cruiser!

Where are we going today?

The great thing about family driving holidays is not only the time to enjoy each other’s company, but to take your time and see all the amazing places in America that you will pass along the way!

The Road To Hana Tour is a completely stunning drive through Maui's tropical rainforest. See who can spot the most wildlife, or who can play under the waterfalls the fastest?  The scenery in Hawaii is completely spectacular, and you will LOVE the feeling of the wind brushing up against your face as you wind the window down and feel that Hawaiian sun on your face!

It won't be easy though, but we love a challenge!  There are 52 miles which feature 617 hair pin curves (yes, you read that number right!) and 56 very narrow one-lane bridges!  It's quite an adventure!  However, you will see pineapple fields, incredible cliffs, bamboo jungles, and tropical pools.  Magical!

And parents, don't you worry - because you won't be driving!  So sit back and let their very experience driver guide you through this magical part of the island! The vans even have elevated seats for the little kids so they won't miss anything!

The tour will educated the kids, as well as entertain, as they learn about the history, culture and features of the islands.

Included in the tour are: cool drinks all day, continental breakfast and a Hana picnic lunch.

Don't forget to take your camera - you will have so many places you will want to remember and show your friends when you get home!

When can we go?

6:45am start. But it's worth it!

Teachers corner

They make sure they partner with educational institutions so they can ensure the history of Maui is passed down on the tours, as well as educating on the flora and fauna..

I'm Hungry!

Not only do they provide a breakfast and lunch, but there are so many options on the road as you drive past them. Ever tried poi? Only one way to find out what it is! They also stop at the Ulapalakula deli at the end of the day for tasty snacks and much needed cold drinks. Make sure you stay hydrated!.

Healthy Eating!

The breakfast is included and will see you enjoying fresh juices, fruit and bread! Yum! They will make sure everything is provided in the healthiest of ways - Hawaiian style!

The delicious picnic lunch consists of tasty BBQ chicken, salads and rolls, and can cater for vegetarians and vegans! .

Any Top Tips?

Make sure you bring some cash, as a lot of the places you stop might not take credit card, and don't forget your swimmers! It's a good idea to bring spare batteries for your cameras too! .

Doing our bit

The company really care about Maui and it's environment, not only because they live there, but because they want to look after the environment. They are involved with many cultural organizations and educational institutions, as well as environmental groups in order to preserve Maui's beauty..

Need a little extra help?

The vans are not wheelchair accessible but they do have plenty of space so it's easy to get in and out of them. They guides are there to help so if you need an extra hand, they can accommodate! .

Baby Facilities

They supply coolers in the van where things can be stored for the baby. Most of their guides are parents themselves so are quite understanding and will do all they can to help. .

Can I get one of those?

Whenever you want to stop on the side of the road to grab something from one of the many vendors, you can! Just ask. They sell all beautiful local products such as delicious banana bread to hats and home-made goods. All ladies on the tour get a free flower to take with them! .

More information

They have great windows in the cruiser to allow for amazing photography opportunities! You will also have lots of photo stops along the tour. .

Took Valley Isle Excursions in May. Was one of the best days of our 10 day vacation. Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable - think his name was Kimo? Stopped anywhere the group wanted to stop. Excellent lunch provided by company. was 11.5 hours from start (hotel pickup) to finish (hotel drop off). Would I recommend them - DEFINITELY YES!

Having lived on Maui for over 17 years I drove myself to Hana for many years. It is an arduous task even if you know this road. However, after being on this tour several times (I'm a professional photographer) I will say that this is the best way to learn the most about the road to Hana, the Hawaiian culture and Maui in general. The guides are wonderful and have some interesting stories about the sights and culture. Lunch was basic BBQ chicken and tasty. Much better than a sandwich from home (my usual since Hana food is kinda spendy). Plenty...Read More

The big van windows made it easier to photograph scenic views from than my car. I've put plenty of visiting friends on this tour and every one of them loved it and said it was best part of there whole Maui vacation. Keep up the good work guys!
