This was the second coolest zoo in Nebraska when I was a kid. Budget issues of recent years have led to some scaling back compared to the days of my youth, but this is still an awesome zoo & great asset to the communities! the water park inside the zoo is new, and the kid had a blast! (also, there is a pretty incredible park in behind the zoo if you follow the paved road that skirts around the parking lot) bring a towel, pack a lunch, and come spend a day checking this place out!

Turning into the zoo, but continuing past the zoo, there is a city RV park called RIVERSIDE. Big rigs welcome, budget-minded ($10 for water/ele), quiet, scenic, well-kept park. Sure beats 10' wide spaces at some KOA's for $40/night!
