Where are we going today?

Ripleys Aquarium of the Smokies is literally teaming with life – our 10,000 exotic sea creatures comprise more than 350 individual species. There are more fish in this aquarium than there are people living in the entire town of Gatlinburg. Although Ripleys Aquarium of the Smokies is hundreds of miles from the ocean, the scenic beauty and the abundance of water all around make the town of Gatlinburg a “natural” location for a world-class aquarium, America’s most fun aquarium.

Kids loved it. Friendly staff. My 8 year old liked touching actual jellyfish. Was over priced at 80 bucks for family of four for about a hour and a half but kids enjoyed it.

I enjoyed my visit. There are lots of very interesting displays. It is well laid out and is a good value for the money.
I do have some concerns. I purchased food in the cafe. They could have more healthy choices. Take a page from the Rom or the Art Gallery. I also found out that there is no recycling. I was very surprised.

Very expensive, small aquarium, small enclosures, but well maintained. This aquarium was ok, but very expensive for an only ok aquarium. It's not very nice ompared to the Cleveland aquarium, or even the legoland/aquarium combo chains that are now appearing everywhere.

Had a great time! Nice way to pass a couple of hours if it's raining. Workers were very nice and knowledgeable.

It's worth the price you paid. We and the kids really enjoy the sea tunnel, especially the giant saw fish swimming around above you. Plenty of fish, sharks, and crustacians to see, there is also a horseshoes petting pond, and don't forget the penguins exibit, it was the closest you ever going to get to real penquins. Overall, if you are visiting Gatlinburg, especially with kids, this is one place you should bring them.

A business that profits from the natural world should be first in line to protect it. I remember an video of plastic waste in the aquarium. I believe the message is that there is too much waste plastic. Well shouldn't they be doing something about it.
The other thing is that it is easier to read the printed card than the constantly changing screens. I would be best to have cards as well. They are in some areas.
All in all a good experience but some improvements are needed.
