Where are we going today?

Popcorn Park Zoo is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
You may be greeted at the gate by a gaggle of geese, but soon you will see a marvelous array of animals including African lions, tigers, mountain lions, a camel, emus, rheas. muntjacs, Australian wallabies and more. Many different types of monkeys clamor for your attention in the monkey house, and the Zoo abounds with all kinds of native wildlife such as white-tailed and fallow deer, bobcats, an American black bear, and a raccoon. Farm animals such as horses, steer. sheep, pigs and goats often look for a handout, and reptiles and tortoises enjoy their own special house. In addition, you¹ll find numerous species of birds have made themselves comfortable throughout the zoo.
But what makes Popcorn Park so special is that each animal was rescued from suffering, exploitation and/or death - each has its own unique story to tell.

I have always loved visiting Popcorn Park Zoo since I was a little girl, I love that all of the animals are rescues, and that you can learn their back stories. It's a good way to teach children about how to treat animals. It's more appealing for young children than a regular zoo because the animals are actually interested in you since you can feed them popcorn. It's well maintained, and the animals seem pretty happy, and you just can't beat the prices!

I also adopted my dog there 8 years ago, and I am thankful to them for bringing us together.

I'm 40yrs old and as a kid some of my greatest memories are going to Popcorn Zoo. I remember asking my mother for change for the corn machines then running over to the peacocks.

We absolutely love this zoo. It is the perfect size for little ones to walk the whole zoo and the animals are impressive for a zoo this size. The staff is always so friendly. This is a MUST visit for families with small children. It is also great for children with special needs too. The zoo is never super busy so there is plenty of time to visit with each of the animals without the crowds.

I tried to adopt a pet from them, one whose neck was snapped by ill-raised children. But it seems that my cousin in Houston, TX is more qualified than I. She lives in a condo, yet i live on 1.5 acres of free roam. Yes, the lil puppers would have to be 3rd in line on the chain. Alpha Male is black feline, Beta Female mutt dog but cute as all get out!, then new lil puppers. We would Love another just like any one of my foundlings!

When we first pulled up, I was expecting that this might not have been worth the trip. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! They have a large amount of animals (Monkeys, Tigers, Peacocks, Farm Animals, etc, etc) that you can feed with popcorn bought from inside the clinic. The prices were very fair, and the people friendly enough. If your looking to bring a young child or children, then buy a bunch of large popcorn boxes, because the animals like their popcorn. I will be bringing friends with me next time we come, a very fun place!

I came back for a visit with my little sister today, and I'm glad to say Popcorn Park is still as wonderful as ever!
