What can I say. A great clean park and an enjoyable restful weekend. Highly recommended. Staff kept the latrines/showers nice and tidy. Wood is top notch and fairly priced. Wish the camp store was bigger but there is a food lion close. Bring your bikes, kayaks and swim trunks. You will use them all.

Another great camping trip at Pocahontas State Park. The campsites are big enough for pretty much any RV,Travel Trailer or fifth wheel. Water and electric is always available. This time we had a bad 30A breaker the Ranger came in less than 30 minutes and fixed it. This is a wonderful place to camp if you like the outdoors. Camp neighbors were great. The park is pet friendly and “amazingly” most pet owners seemed to be friendly too. Don’t miss a chance to camp here.

Not as great as described by a few others. The lake is stagnated and unclear. Trails are OK. People there are great though.

This is not a park. It’s just the woods. Parks have paths that are paved populated with people picnicking and doing other things than stepping in horse shit.
