Where are we going today?

The Wax Museum, gives a graphic portrayal in the magic of light, sound, and animation, recreating the persecuted years in England, the escape to Holland, the Mayflower voyage, and the landing at Plymouth, where the rain - thunder - and lightning or a raging storm, make you feel a part of this courageous band of people.

Stayed for a night at St Elizabeth House with friends. The morning we departed the water was cold so the shower awful, as were our friends who had the same problem. We have been offered a free cream tea for two as compensation. This is unacceptable our stay was spoilt by this incident and on the afternoon we arrived we were told we could not have a cream tea as the chef had finished. The service was good and the food was excellent as was the hotel, but for a hotel with such a good reputation to maintain I feel the free cream tea was an insult.

The room, food and service were above reproach. The only minor quibble that my husband and I had was with the internet access. The network router in our room was broken and the wireless connection was so slow and erratic that it was unusable. When we reported the faulty router the receptionist smiled and thanked us, but did no more to enable us to use the internet.

We visited St Elizabeth's for a family celebration dinner, and were all hugely impressed by the quality of the venue, food and service. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, the hotel was equally as lovely a setting, and the staff were all enormously helpful, courteous, discreet and attentive. The food was sublime, and fantastic value for money with very reasonable prices for such great quality cuisine. I can't recommend St Elizabeth's enough as the perfect place to eat, be it for a special occasion or just a night out.
