Where are we going today?

Kids - are you ready to have some fun in Idaho's LARGEST indoor soft playground center? Well, just head on over to Planet Kid Indoor Playground, and you can get started!

This family fun center is pure physical fun on a galactic scale, so all of those active kids might have energy when they arrive, but they certainly won't when they leave!

Planet Kid Indoor Playground was created as a safe place where kids up to the age of 12 years can swing, climb, play, slide, zip, and explore until their heart's content. It's where they can meet up with old friends, and be sure to make some new ones!

All of the games allow kids to not only have fun, but to also get active, use their imagination, and just focus on just what makes them happy.

Want to know something cool? Not only is Planet Kids Indoor Playground the LARGEST, but it's also the OLDEST in Idaho, so just imagine how many kids have had fun in the very same spot you are!

There are so many activities within the play center, it might be hard to decide where to start! There are rope swings to tackle, and slides to zip and zoom down. There are cargo nets to challenge yourselves on, and climbing webs to conquer.

If you have smaller kiddies in the family, then they can enjoy their own Toddler Town area, with lots of pint-sized fun just for those ages 6 months to 2 years.

If that wasn't enough in this HUGE Idaho play area, they also offer fun birthday parties, parents night outs, overnighters, and even an indoor rock climbing open gym!

So get that energy saved up, because at Planet Kid Indoor Playground, you will need as much as you can muster!

I love Planet Kids. I have been taking my nieces and nephews there for over fifteen years. I think that the cleanliness is fine, and it's probably for the best if the histrionic mother complaining about it doesn't come back. Are they expecting that they're going to wash every ball in the ball pit individually? Does she expect every day care kid to be individually escorted through the hamster tubes by the staff? (I have never smelled urine there, but maybe my sensibilities aren't as delicate as others').

I'm sure there is an occasional mess,...Read More

I brought my 2 year old to the Planetkid side of Wings Center on a rainy Sunday afternoon. There is supposed to be a "toddler town" section for children 2 and under to play safely. Unfortunately there were several much older children playing in the area and making it dangerous for my son. I understand that there might be kids in the 3-5 age range playing in there (most likely with a sibling) but these kids were obviously to old and too rowdy for the small kids (easily 8-12 years old). At one point a staff member walked by and their only comment...Read More

WEAR PROTECTIVE GEAR-I’m not one to complain… usually-however I find it fascinating the lack of control (daycare kids), interest (staff) and cleanliness this place offers.

We have been many, many times-in fact my son had his first birthday party here and each time we tell ourselves we won’t be back. I guess the convenience of an indoor play area is the attraction. Thankfully there are several new places in/around the area that offer a clean, child oriented indoor area.

Now on to my rant… The Wings center seems to be a great place, but...Read More

Hi I have 3 kids and have been going to wings for over 8 years. They are overall a very high quality program and incorporate many things into the whole center that not everyone knows about. They are right off the freeway and easy to get to right off overland by the cinema complex.

They have swimming which is a smaller size pool but works well for the younger kids which my daughter has done and I havn't had any problems with it.

I'm sure there is an occasional mess, occasional bumped heads, and occasional conflict (it is an indoor playground for children, after all) but if you can let these things go, it is a pretty great place for a kid to have a good time on a very cold/hot/rainy day.

I do wish they'd update or change up configurations more often, as most of it is exactly the same as it was when I started bringing kids there in 2000, and I do think there is some validity to complaints about bigger kids being in the toddler area (although there are frequently no toddlers there, and my 5 year old loves some of the toddler room equipment.)

Now on to my rant… The Wings center seems to be a great place, but for anyone that has their children in this daycare center-should take note. These kids are unruly, disrespectful and unsupervised. I’m sure they are all little sweethearts when they get home but if you’re wondering where Johnny picked up all his craziness-look no further! The staff is disengaged, walking around with their clip board, talking on their walkie-talkies and conversing with one another; all the while the children they are to be supervising are belittling other kids, shoving, name calling, and being plain mean-with no reprimand from any staff. There is a sign that clearly states PARENTS ARE RESOPNSIBLE FOR THEIR CHILDRENS ACTIONS WHILE AT PLANET KID… but no one is responsible for the kids in the daycare! Now, thankfully –I tend to my own child and make sure that he isn’t being badgered for doing what we came to do… PLAY!

Now, onto the cleanliness… if you’re reading this, than you have probably been or are about to (maybe) go to Planet Kid. Take notice of the stench of urine that feels the air. The first few times I dismissed it, kids have accidents but this last time (March 30th) I and two other parents, that I did not know- noticed a boy (probably 8) with wet/pee'd pants playing on the mats with the rope attached to it. Another daycare child told one of the staff members, who was searching the place for a lost daycare child by the name of Jordan, that -said boy- had pee’d his pants and/or the area was wet. The staff member didn’t even go to find this boy, he continued looking for Jordan. I stayed another 10 minutes or so, rounding up my son and up until this point no one had cleaned the mat or found the boy with wet pants! In the mean time child after child continued to play on the mats... This place is a germ infested vortex-every time my son goes there he gets sick… now I know why! I would bet this place has never been cleaned or wiped down… the health department should be notified…it’s horrible!

They also have a big indoor playground (planet kid) which is safe with lots of toys and the kids love it and have a hard time leaving plus it helps them stay busy and they are so active that when they go home that night it makes it easier to go to sleep.

They also have a few childcare programs ones for toddlers pre-school and k-6 grades. My youngest has been through all of them which are pretty well at adding extra activities of all different kinds and at the summer camp they get to swim too. The ratios are always good and the counselors seem to actually do 1 on 1 with the kids when they need it which for me being a mother is important.

My kids have had few problems emotionally and physically, they also fill out injury reports if the kids get hurt even if it may seem minimal but like the idea that they are keeping us updated.

They have schedules and rotation charts and keep it very organized and have lots of room and toys to play with in other areas.

I just got back from what they call a community cafe at club kid which since my kids are enrolled they started this thing where on monday a little after six they cook for you and your kids and let your kids play while they work out ideas for child developement and try to help the adults dealing with family life which is funny and different but very nice of them and part of the reason I am writing this. I had a good talk with the lady that runs the program sharay and she is very thoughtful and always seems to care so I thought I would return the favor to wings and write this review seeing how I have been with them for so long.

I highly recommend thier program they also have other areas I think gymnastics and stuff but don't do that and not sure about them but think they are probably well too.

I am pretty unbiased but hope that you at least get the chance to take a look and see what they have to offer it has been safe and effect which for me is comforting.
