Pioneer Playhouse and Campground is a campground with a difference! You see, not only is it a family friendly place to enjoy some RV family time, with 35 sites, but it’s also associated with Kentucky’s OLDEST outdoor theatre – The Pioneer Playhouse itself!
But first – the campground! The campground is the oldest campground to Danville, KY. All of the sites have electric and water hook ups, and up to 50 amps. With bathhouses and a dump station, they have all you need out of your RV stay!
If you want to try the old classic way of camping, they have tent sites too!
Pioneer Playhouse also have picnic tables, and fire pits on the lower campground. With 90 acres of wooded trails, there are plenty of places for those active kids to get out and enjoy nature!
Then of course, there is the theatre! Dinner and shows are offered at the Pioneer Playhouse all through summer.
The schedule is always filled with fun, fascinating and entertaining shows. If you want dinner with the show, you will be met with a host of delicious flavors. Sometimes you might be lucky and enjoy a good old fashioned Southern BBQ, with BBQ Pulled Pork, Slaw, or those farm-fresh Kentucky vegetables!
You might even be treated to some music too, and there is a fun and unique antique village that you can stroll through!
