Where are we going today?

Love animals? Yes? Then of course it makes sense to spend your family day out surrounded by those adorable creatures!

North Georgia Zoo and Petting Farm is home to over 400 animals, so there are plenty of animal encounters to be had with the family. Of these 400 animals, there are over 100 breeds of rare and miniature livestock, so kids will be able to experience a diverse collection to learn about, and have fun with!

They love teaching everyone who visits all about these amazing creatures. From the reclusive reptiles, to the friendly farm animals, to even some carnivores, the North Georgia Zoo will also inform kids on how they protect these animals too. An invaluable lesson!

The North Georgia Zoo like to offer more options than a regular zoo, so you can really fit them into what YOU want. There are close encounters and personal interaction experiences, as well as just general admission which still allows you to feed those miniature and rare breed farm animals!

There are Camel Encounters and cart/hay rides, as well as guided wildlife walks, where for around an hour you can learn all about some impressive wild animals, such as the fox, alligator, kangaroo, lemur, and even snakes.

If you're brave, you can always try out the reptile encounter, where you can TOUCH a range of snakes, tortoise, and bugs! Be brave!

Animal fun all around at this family friendly zoo in North Georgia. Don't forget to watch out for those baby animals - you will need your camera for those!

We have had Zoo to You come to our church for a VBS program twice. Both times they drew a large crowd. Their program was informative and fun, with interesting animals.

My husband, son, and I visited the Zoo and had the best time. We chose the Wild Life Walk package. We got there early and spent a few hours enjoying the petting zoo. The animals were healthy, friendly, and adorable. After that, we went on a hayride to feed the camels. The tour guide was friendly and outgoing. We really enjoyed the wildlife tour. OH MY GOODNESS! BEST FATHERS' DAY EVER! Jayden found a brochure for this place when we were at Helen Water Park & Tubing and went to the visitor's center to see what else is around and this is where she chose to take her Daddy for Father's Day (where they got in for free that day)! She got him the wolf encounter and the behind the scenes tour. WE ALL HAD THE BEST TIME EVER! We've been to huge zoos and never had this great of an experience. The staff is young - mostly interns - who love the animals and tolerate the humans quite patiently. Jayden...Read More

Enjoyed our day at North Georgia Zoo very much. My nephew and nieces ran from pen to pen petting and trying to decide on their favorite animal. We also did the camel encounter and had a close encounter of the camel kind. It was nice to have a safe place to take children while they also had a learning experience. We all enjoyed seeing the newborns.

They had more animals than we expected. This tour guide was very informative, telling a lot of info on each animal. It was not a rushed tour either, but very pleasant stroll through the woods. I really liked being able to get close to the enclosures to really see the animals. After that we played in the petting zoo again. My son really enjoyed the parakeet enclosure with beautiful little birds landing on him. Before we left we paid for a couple of encounters. My son got to go into a pen with 2 wolf pups. The pups were 4 months old but as big as a large dog already. The young guy spent time tell facts about the wold and he kept the 2 very playful pups under control. My son loved it! I paid to have an encounter with a Fennec Fox. I was seated in a pen, where I got to pet and hold this adorable little creature. She was very sweet and so soft. Again the handler was very informed about the animal. Our experience was awesome and we will definitely go back!

Jayden is 9 and she had so much fun petting all of the animals - she even made a list because she thought it was so amazing! And, she was so pleased to give her Daddy the best fathers' day ever. We are telling everyone we know to go!!! Keep up the great work!!!
