Where are we going today?
Let's all go exploring the incredible ocean! The Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium has a large variety of fun and of course educational programs and activities for the whole family to get involved with.
Ever spoken to a diver underwater? At Living Shipwreck, you can talk to divers in a 306,000 gallon tank! (How do you think you'll be able to do that?), or perhaps kids want to see what happens at feeding time?
Want to touch a sea turtle? Of course you do! You can also see what horseshoe crabs and other cute creatures feel like in the live-animal program on any dy that you visit. If you're lucky you might even see the otters come out!
For an extra small fee, give the kids something they will never forget with a behind-the-scenes look at the aquarium, and see what it's like the other side of the exhibits!
The aquarium is more than happy to accommodate birthday parties, so why not celebrate your special day with all the fish and underwater creatures!?
They also have a host of educational programs, including special homeschooling days! They have Barrier Island Exploration marsh walks which are free and offered twice a day. In fact, aquarium admission and Homeschool Day activities (except behind the scenes tours) are free for homeschool families!
Don't forget about their special festive events, like Halloween's Trick or Treat Under The Sea, or Santa By The Sea in December! They are always popular with families and a ton of fun to be a part of! Make sure you register early!

Wow! $8 and one of the best for its size. Otters were adorable. Better than the Charleston aquarium at a third of the cost. Also has several touch tanks and and less crowded than any aquarium I've been to.
