In that case...let us introduce you to the Museum of the Rockies! This amazing museum in Bozeman is a great place to spend the day with the family. It's part of Montana State University (kids - you can start thinking ahead to when you attend university!) and has fascinating exhibits covering a range of topics - from Western history to American Indians.
The Liberty on the Border exhibit explore that iconic Civil War, and kids gives an insight into the lead up to the war, and why it happened as well as what happened.
You're in Montana - so there has to be an exhibit on regional history! There is an amazing collection that covers stories of lives that walked the same streets as you, but years before! From WWII, to gold seekers and settlers - it's amazing to think how many stories could be told from even one town!
Kids must take time to enjoy the Discovery Center too! Great for kids up to 8 years old, it's based on the amazing Yellowstone Park which gives them another introduction into another amazing part of the state. It's FILLED with hands-on fun, with interactive tools to help teach them all about science and the earth - from geysers to minerals.
Did we mention that there's a planetarium!? This planetarium is only one of a few in the entire world with the advanced technologies that they have, and kids can immerse themselves in programs which can teach them all things space!

The museum are all about kids having fun, so they have really ensured the exhibits are engaging and there are elements that they can get very hands-on
There isn't any cafe in the museum, but there are lovely local restaurants across the street. There are snacks and drinks available from the gift shop
They have tours for tots so check them out if you have little ones!
There certainly is a gift shop! Make sure you grab your pocket money because there is lots to buy!
Of course students will have a great time at the museum! They can go to you, they offer summer camps, and they can give your students an amazing educational experience
They sell bottled water in the gift shop, and you can bring your own lunch and enjoy it in the plaza!
There are strollers available for public use! All restrooms are handicapped also.
