One of my favorite places in northern Illinois! Beyond beautiful. I spend the entire day here running around getting exercise among the trees and plants. Take the kids into the children’s garden for climbing and learning. They have awesome kids programs. Lots of fun for them. Bring a picnic or go in for a meal at the cafeteria. Great salads and all the “normal” food too. Love that they don’t use any plastic water bottles! Bring a reusable bottle and fill up with water at the stations by restrooms. The adult wine evenings are always a great escape in the summer. Anytime someone from out of town comes to visit this is where I take them.

Visited this place yesterday with friends. Very beautiful scenic place..actually we wanted to see fall colours but didn’t want to go to wisconsin for it.. here we got to see beautiful fall colours…very huge park..come in the morning when it opens as it;s huge area, and needs more time to explore..we came here at 4 pm as we were exploring some other places , but still we got 2 hrs as it closes by 6. and we made most of it and covered as many things as we could..took long walk ,saw beautiful colours, took photographs, visited morton arboretum store too..it has also nice collection of things but it’s costly..entrance fees of park is 12 $ per person which I think it’s little expensive..it should be 5 $. but they have maintained the property very well..if you are in downtown chicago and looking for nearby place to see fall colours, this option is really good

Went there w/ my husband & parents for the first time. Even though the day was cold, everyone was in good spirits! Cindy, the Acorn Express conductor has a great sense of humor and was wonderfully educational on our tour. The park is gorgeous. Looking at becoming a member to be able to come back all the time!

Wonderful place to walk trails through groves of global sourced trees. As well as bring your bike early in the morning to cycle some good hills on some very nice circuit roads. Great place to exercise in multi-million dollar landscaped setting. Fun stuff for families with small children as well.
