Where are we going today?
Who LOVES to use those imaginations? It's so much fun to do, and Monterey County Youth Museum loves to welcome kids just like you!
Monterey County Youth Museum is a great way for kids to express themselves, play, be creative, and just have fun in their excellent play environments.
Where will kids play today? Perhaps they will head to the beach, where they can test their nautical skills in the rocking boat, or taking a dip in the sea! They can even build a sandcastle! Designed just for toddlers, it's the perfect age-appropriate experience for them!
Maybe it's golf they love! They can spend some time on the kid-sized putting green, which was created JUST for them. They can hang out in the golf cart, or just practice their swing. Those more adventurous kiddies can explore the gopher tunnels, and learn all about the creatures that share the fairways with them.
Get those hard hats ready, because it's time for My Town Hall! Kids can get to work at the construction site, with a number of tools to work with. They can even stop by the ATM and check all their accounts are in order! Great for fine motor skills and problem solving skills.
Then, let's not miss the Creation Station! The only limit is the imagination at this most popular exhibit, where kids can create a masterpiece out of recycled materials. Great creative fun, where they can take pride in their accomplishments!
The level of detail they've included is wonderful, so why not let the kids have a creative and imagination filled day out. It's their museum after all!

Any Top Tips?
Keep an eye out for fun events, like Fun & Games night, where they are for adults only! It's not just the kids who can have fun!.
Doing our bit
They know it's important for kids to have a safe, clean environment to play in, so they have staff clean throughout the day, as well as all cloth items washed regularly. Bathrooms are checked every 30 minutes, and deep cleans occur every other night, .
Need a little extra help?
They are ADA compliant and all children and adults are able to join in!.
You just bring the cake, and they do the rest! We're of course talking about birthday parties! They have 3 packages (including a slumber package!) so why not hold the next birthday party at the museum. .

I LOVED the three years my family and I have participated in MY Museum's activities, and our annual membership was worth it. Tots through early childhood will enjoy the variety of hands-on activities and exhibits. My 4 year old especially enjoyed art days- and of course the pretend kitchen was a big hit. I would highly recommend this museum for parents of younger kids if you live near the Monterey area. Currently they offer a $2 Tuesdays special which is a great way to try it out before you purchase a membership, which is well worth the cost.

My son used to and my daughter now loves the My Museum. However, the last few years the place has degraded and smells filthy. Every area needs a deep cleaning and disinfecting. For the fees you'd think they could keep the place up.

Kids had an absolute blast. We spent a couple hours there and if it were up to the kids we would have spent a couple more.
Note- It appears to now be called MY Museum.

I took my son who is 16 months old and he had a great time. He really enjoyed the construction area and the small house with the kitchen. I like that each museum has different items, we have also visited the one in San Luis Obispo which is also great. The only negative I have is that it was very hot inside, not sure why it was so warm but it's a great place to take the kids to burn off some energy in the afternoon.
