Where are we going today?

Art is such an amazing thing for kids to experience. They can learn about new cultures, get inspired, and experience all the different and creative forms that art comes in!

The Montclair Art Museum works with the Yard School Of Art, and is there to introduce all who visit to their collection of Native American and American art, educational programs and exhibitions.

Did you know that the museum has been open for over a century! Incredible! Families have been visiting since all the way back in 1914, so that's a lot of education that's been had too!

The Montclair Art Museum always have two exhibitions of works on display as part of the permanent collection. They always have a selection of highlights from their Native American collection, as well as a selection of works from their George Inness collection.

So if you have a favorite, you can always go back to look at them once again!

What's also great about the Montclair Art Museum, is that they always have rotating exhibitions, so if you want to keep coming back there is always something new for you to see!

Kids always particularly love the Student Exhibitions. It shows that no matter how old you are, you can be incredibly creative and talented! If those students have work displayed - so can they!

They even have artwork displayed from kids as young as 6 years old. Pretty incredible huh!?

If you are feeling creative, then why not take a class at the Yard School Of Art! They have programs for kids, teens and adults across the year. These classes are offered in four semesters, and that also includes the popular 8 week summer program if you are really wanting to immerse yourself in art!

So are you ready to get creative, because the Montclair Art Museum is ready and waiting to inspire and educate you all! Let's have an art attack!

M.A.M. (Museum Art Museum) is a hidden gem. The Yard School of Art offers programs for children and adults. The exhibits are surprisingly fresh and change up a bit. The museum is small. Unlike some of the larger institutions in the NYC metro area, it can be walked through in 2 hours or less.
