I love the Milwaukee Public Museum! I've attended a few special events/exhibits and always look forward to the next announcement of traveling exhibits! I wish they received more funding to continue increasing in impact!

The museum part was fine, but STAY AWAY from the cafeteria! Took my family there on Sunday 3/23/14 and had lunch around 1PM. Wife and I had the Grilled Chicken Deluxe sandwiches, my oldest kid a 3pc Chicken strips, and my youngest a plain cheeseburger. ALL OF US except my oldest had stomach issues after eating. My wife right away, my youngest and myself later that day. I've since recovered, but my youngest could not go to school today and has been home sick, pale and puking.

I have been here ever since I was a baby as well! Than when I was older I came with my aunt and grandma and now I bring my daughter when she was a baby! Now she's 9 years old! I bring her now too! It's a great place for education purposes and I have went on a dozen of field trips with her as well! The food is very pricey so bring a lunch from home! Or eat before you come, it is a waste of money buying it in there! I spent over 20 just for two people including admission!!! So, come prepared! Look online to see what days are free and if they have...Read More

We didn't eat ANYWHERE else that day, didn't eat dinner, and when we called the museum to notify them of the issue, we were told the food is catered, and they are not responsible. We pretty much got the same response from the caterer as well, except more attitude. No apologies, no refunds for the bad food, nothing.

We may come back to the museum again, but we're packing our OWN lunch.
Oh, and to charge $2.69 for a 20oz soda in the cafeteria and $1.50 for the same size and brand of soda outside the cafeteria is just shady.
Guess we'll bring our own drinks, too.
