Where are we going today?
Mill Mountain Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and 1 of only 3 Zoos and Aquariums accredited in the State of Virginia. Accreditation is a detailed review and inspection process covering all aspects of an institution's operation.
Mill Mountain Zoo is home to more than 175 animals including mammals, birds, reptiles and invertebrates, including 21 vulnerable species! The Zoo offers year round educational and recreational opportunities!
There are regular events plus spring and summer camps and animal encounter experiences to be had too.

10am to 4:30pm with grounds closing at 5pm.
Open all year long, except for New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
