I had a ton of fun there. The staff was great. I have no idea what the previous reviewers were on, but everyone there was friendly as S#!t, I even met a Blackhawks fan there and we bonded over 85 mph fast balls. This is a small town joint, run by very nice people. I'm trying to keep this appropriate, but if you didn't get your pizza or your spoiled kid didn't hit that 45mph slow pitch, you better ice up. 6/5 stars, thanks for allowing me to tee off on that __cuss word___. Stay golden! RTB IV.

My experience with the location was limited to only the arcade and ice cream parlor, as the mini golf and go karts were not open yet for the day (they do not open until 3pm in the spring.)

The arcade was small, but had some current games. Skeeball was a pleasant surprise, as it retained the old 1980's feel and price (25 cents per game). It gave tickets out like candy too. Unfortunately, the tickets are next to worthless in this arcade. We collected about 520 tickets with around 12 dollars in quarters with skeeball and basketball. We then had to...Read More

Like the driving range, batting cages and food. Mini-golf was so-so.

I got a couple of the Fun passes to try all of the activities here. I was impressed with how many things Mel's had added, including the laser tag and the restaurant.
I had an awful experience when I went on two separate occasions. Once I brought my younger sibling and we were in the lobby to try the laser tag and laser maze. We were the only people in the area and the young man working was yelling at my brother to go in. When I asked a question about the laser tag he rolled his eyes and was very rude.

Unfortunately, the tickets are next to worthless in this arcade. We collected about 520 tickets with around 12 dollars in quarters with skeeball and basketball. We then had to feed these tickets into a machine to count them. We then got to the counter, and had barely enough for one king size butterfinger. I asked if they had anything else besides candy as a prize, and they said no.

The ice cream parlor was decent. The sundae I had was delicious, and the array of flavors seemed to be up to par with what I've seen at other parlors.

The service was was "good", in so that the whole place is staffed by teenagers who could care less if you have a good time. I didn't see one smile while I was there, and when I gave a friendly hello to an employee walking the minigolf course he ignored me. But really, how much can you expect from teenagers making minimum wage at a kids park in cloudy weather?

I'd go again for the cheap skeeball and ice cream.

Another time I called to make sure the driving range was finally open to use the rest of my Fun pass. I was told by whoever on the phone they were open until 11. Got there at 5...closed. Asked to speak to a manager who was unavailable; so this teenager came down to speak with me. He told me to go to the driving range down the street and took off back to whatever he was doing. I drove 45 minutes to get there, to use my Fun pass!
Very upset. Hilltop in Rochester is a lot further but a lot better in the service department.
