The park rangers host the "Junior Ranger Program" for those younger future rangers. The kids will work directly with the ranger as they spot the wildlife and learn how to identify various mammals and birds. At the end, they will hold a Junior Ranger ceremony where each new ranger receives a badge and a photo with the ranger!.
All you can eat Alaskan salmon and prime rib meal is prepared and available on all cruises from Whittier! Yum! It is all prepared fresh on-board each day. There is a vegetarian option available with advance notice. All cruises also have free coffee and tea, and most cruises offer a full beverage bar and snacks for purchase. .
Any Top Tips?
Make sure you dress in layers and bring a warm rainproof coat, hat, gloves and comfortable rubber soled shoes. Also, if you bring your camera, please don't bring a tripod. .
Doing our bit
You can purchase a $2 green tag when you book your ticket - this is donated to the Denali Green Tag Green program where they counteract pollution emitted from their tours by contributing to renewable energy and carbon offsetting. .
Need a little extra help?
Some cruises can accommodate wheelchairs. Give them a call and have a chat before you book. .
Unfortunately baby strollers and carriages are not allowed on the boats. They can however store them in their ticket office for you while you enjoy the cruise.
Car carriers for infants are however, allowed on boats. Let me know if you are bringing one so they can assign a seat for the carrier. .
No pets unfortunately! As much as we think they might like to see the whales and fish too!.
