Our family and friends really enjoyed going to the Main Event until now. Our 11 yr old boy wanted to have his birthday party at the Main Event in Plano. We have been there many times before with just our family as well as friends. He was very excited; for the last month that is all he has been able to talk about. while talking with Ryan to make reservations we were told there is a strict policy of no food be allowed in. When I explained that all the kids from the party would be eating the food provided as a part of the birthday package, but I would like to bring in a piece of pizza for our son so he could eat with his friends as a part of the party, Ryan said he would check with management and call me back. He called me back to inform me that the assistant district manager Michele Gaskey indicated that policy is what it is and no exception can be made. And this came down from the main corporate headquarters. I understand this policy helps sales and probably is a good policy in general for other reasons as well, but I fail to see how the world would have come to an end had they allowed an 11 yr old boy bring in a single piece of pizza to sit and eat together with his friends. Last year his birthday was at Laser world in Plano and they had the more understanding and the manager took it upon himself to make the right call in the interest of the spirit of the policy, and not the letter of the policy. So I can only conclude that the Main Event cannot see fit to allow orthodox Jews to have birthdays there unless they want to eat outside the front doors.

Oh. My. God. If you have ever heard the expression “waited on head and foot,” Tina exemplifies this. She is the manager at this branch of Main Event, and not only was my son’s birthday experience flawless, but his friends have already all booked the same for their birthdays! Tina saw to it that we enjoyed the very best of each activity and even performed a clown routine for the boys that they still joke about to this day. REMEMBER: when planning anything at Main Event Grapevine, ask for Tina! I have spoken to the manager since our party and Tina is receiving a promotion so she will now be running the entire facility! Congratulations, Tina!

Tina is the worst manager ever. She kicked me and 15 other people out, because of one person “stumbling” around. Although the bartenders felt we were sober enough to serve. Anyone with a Texas certified TABC license is legally supposed to accept anyone of AGE! Tina was unable to resolve the situation without higher authority. She is very unfit for any higher position other than manager. She was RUDE and very unhelpful. I hope that the Plano facility is able to overcome this situation. Unfortunately, Tina is not a great employee to the cooperate company. She will only bring the company down. She is rude and unable to deal with.I as a customer will be very upset if Tina is still employed when i return. She has absolutely ruined our time at Main Event Plano. If i could have it my way no one Iknow will return to this certain Main Event. Hopefully you can transfer TINA and or FIX the current employees you have. Something can be done to create a better environment for others.

The manager Tina has a NASTY attitude! Judging by one of the previous reviews and from my experience tonight, she obviously enjoys kicking people out. Her boss will hear from me tomorrow. She is not a good manager and we did not enjoy our experience.
