It's Fun. It only takes about an hour to walk thru every figure.
Go to Groupon and get it for 50% less.
Worth the money, fun and nice pictures.

I've been to other Madame Tussaud's worth the money, but this one was the worst because of its VERY small size. We finished in under 30 minutes. Thanks to the Groupon we got in for $13, but it was hardly worth that price.

This is the only Madame Tussaud wax museum that I've been so I won't be able to compare it to others. I really enjoyed the experience and the artistry that goes into making over 100 wax sculptures.

At the time of my visit, the Michael Jackson wax figure was at the front-of-house when you first check in for your tickets so you quickly get an idea of what's in store for you below.

With all the free stuff, which happens to be superior, within this city, there really is no reason to see this. I gave it a second star because it takes a lot of work to make the wax human sized figurines. But you can see more impressive things for free. 22 dollars is too high an entry free. My gf and I kept saying "thank goodness we got the groupon". Even than, 11 or 12 bucks was too high. My advice is to enjoy the free musuems and only come here if you live in DC (Like I do) and have exhausted nearly everything else.

The museum takes you through American history and pop culture in chronological order. It does a good job in my opinion of balancing educational and entertainment value. I enjoyed hearing my nephews say "Ooh, we learned about that in school!"

Wax figures ranged from George Washington to Madonna to Tiger Woods to Beyoncè. Some statues where better than others and some were scarier looking than others. I particularly liked the sports exhibits & sports figure statues as well as the First Family, President and Mrs. Obama, complete with a replica of the Oval office desk where guests can pose and take pictures.

Adults and children alike get a chance to pretend and play, taking pictures with their favorite figure and icon. You can spend 90 minutes to 2 hours in Madame Tussaud's easily, reading, taking pictures, and role playing.

Sometimes it can be congested with people which makes it trickier to get those candid shots. However, I'd suggest visiting on a weekday just when they open for less foot traffic. The video at the end showing the process of making a wax figure was very informative as well.
