Where are we going today?

Who doesn't love really cute animals to go and play with!?  Not only that, you can participate in over 30 fun and exciting activities held throughout spring, summer and fall.

Lucky Ladd Farms is Tennessee's largest petting zoo. There are over 100 super friendly farm animals, including pigs, sweet little goats, and pretty pecking chickens in Henny Penny's chicken coop.  You might be lucky and see some little baby chicks hatch from their cozy eggs!

Not only can you get up close with the farm animals, but you can enjoy fun wilderness wagon rides, play and run on acres of recycled playgrounds, super slippery mega slides, a choo choo tractor train, fun games, crazy mazes....phew we're exhausted even just thinking about it!

Those little farmers 4" and taller can enjoy their weekend pony rides - get saddled up and take a ride on Dolly, Diva, Fancy, or one of the other super cute ponies they have at the farm.

Keep an eye out on all the fun seasonal activities they have for you to participate in, including the always popular Pumpkin Patch, festive Easter Egg Hunts and the Corn Maze.

If you love it so much and think your friends will too, then make sure you ask about holding your birthday party at the farm.  We're sure Dolly and Diva would love to be invited too!

Teachers corner

Guided tours for schools are very welcome at the farm. Educational school programs promote the understanding and exploration of the natural world, with an emphasis on agriculture. These are available during spring, summer and fall. They are also available for pre-school, elementary and secondary grades. They provide an enhanced learning experience which compliments the Tennessee Curriculum Standards. Don't forget to make a reservation! .

I'm Hungry!

During spring and summer, only pre-packaged food/snacks are available. During the fall, you can feast on mouthwatering beef burgers, loaded baked potatoes, delicious homemade pies, caramel apples and so much more! Feel free to bring your own packed lunch too, and enjoy it in the picnic areas located at the farm gates. You can also bring one unopened bottle drink per person. .

Healthy Eating!

Apples and fruit cups are available for those wanting something on the healthy (but just as delicious!) side. .

Any Top Tips?

For smaller crowds during Spring and Summer, try visit during the week. Also, many activities are located outdoors so best dress in layers if the mornings are chilly and the afternoons are lovely and toasty! Don't forget to wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty!.

Baby Facilities

Of course! Portable restrooms, hand washing stations and baby changing facilities are available. .

Can I get one of those?

Their lovely gift shop features beautiful farm products such as jams, pies, jellies, t-shirts and of course toys!!.

More information

If it rains, don't change your plans! They still operate in the rain, but there is a chance activities will be shut during lightning. .

I have been taking my grandchildren to Lucky Ladd Farms for three years now. Every year I am amazed at how many new activities there are to do with the kids. It is a new adventure every time we go.

Lucky Ladd Farm has taken every measure to make sure the activities are very clean and also that the wash facilities are filled with antibacterial products etc. A BIG plus for families with small children.

I cannot say enough how much it means to me that the employees are so friendly and helpful to the kids when I know they must be overwhelmed and...Read More

THIS IS RIDICULOUS! My family has enjoyed going to Lucky Ladd Farm to spend the day and let the children play and enjoy seeing the animals. It has always been a family friendly place UNTIL NOW! According to the OWNER, we can no longer bring any food with us for our lunch. WE ARE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE THEIR FOOD. They say it's their new policy based on their insurance. THAT'S RIDICULOUS! Even the Nashville Zoo allows people to bring sack lunches. Besides the FOOD AT LUCKY LADD FARMS IS HORRIBLE AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY!. We specifically asked...Read More

My daughter and I love this place, especially since the splash pad and bubble pit has been added! :) It makes for a fun day, because you pretty much have everything kids want to do all in one place, it is our typical Friday out :)

In closing....a huge thank you to Lucky Ladd Farms for being so creative and something new to look forward to for me and the kids every year.

We specifically asked the owner if we could bring baby food for our infant (since they don't sell baby food). The owner said NO ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD and we are limited to 20 OUNCES OF LIQUID! We won't be going back, THAT'S FOR SURE!!!!

We went on a sunny Sunday afternoon and despite the fact that there were loads of families already there, we easily found parking space a didn't have to wait in hardly any lines.

Tip: Remember to take some extra quarters for the animal feed in the petting zoo.
