Where are we going today?

Stroll through an 18th century village, deep inside a mountain near Sweetwater in East Tennessee is a remarkable body of water known as The Lost Sea. Listed by the Guinness Book of World Records as America’s largest underground lake, the Lost Sea is part of an extensive and historic cave system called Craighead Caverns.
The caverns have been known and used since the days of the Cherokee Indians. From the tiny natural opening on the side of the mountain, the cave expands into a series of huge rooms.

Great Attraction. Great To See! But.... We had a screaming child on our tour. He Screamed, Cried, Yelled, stomped, ran, and broke rules the ENTIRE TIME! Ruined our tour and wasted our $40.00. I have been before and was excited to take my wife. She was so upset that when we finished the boat ride, we just walked as fast as we could leaving the tour behind. We could not wait to get out of there. Parents should NOT Bring Children on tours! Especially in dark caves! These parents are dead wrong and ruined our day, BUT The Tour Guide let...Read More

DONT GO ON THE WEEKEND. On top of everything besides the actual cave being closed, Whoever has made the decision to hire 18-20 year old girls to be the tour guides now has made a terrible decision. We came yesterday (saturday the 31st) after a very long time convincing my wife how great the caves and lost sea were, I finally convinced her to go... I have never been more disappointed in a tourist attraction in my life. Maybe you guys have the "B Team" on the weekends or something, and if that is the case then you should lower the price and warn...Read More

These parents are dead wrong and ruined our day, BUT The Tour Guide let it go on for more than an hour and never said ANYTHING! He just yelled over the child. We did not hear most of what the guide said! The Guides should send unruly and loud children out! NO DELAY! Just Send Them Out! Children have no business in there! If the staff won't remove screaming children, than this is not worth seeing!

Maybe you guys have the "B Team" on the weekends or something, and if that is the case then you should lower the price and warn guests that the weekend is for training.. IT WAS AWFUL. the tour guide had ZERO information about the cave, she asked in the beginning at every stop if anyone had questions, at every stop someone did, and the answer was the same "I dont know, Im new" after the 3rd or fourth stop everyone just stopped asking questions because they knew no answer was coming. When we finally got to the bottom to take the boat ride, we had to split into two groups, we jumped at the chance to ride with the extra new guide that was at the boat, hoping she would actually have some knowledge about the cave and be able to share some of it with us... OH how we were wrong.. This girl was even worse.. She said "y'all might as well take the boat by yourself, cause y'all no more then me".. My wife just looked at me like "you have to be kidding me".. After taking the boat out for literally 5 mins she said, Well Its a lake... in a cave.... thats pretty much it.. yall ready to go?" then she took us back and slammed the boat into the dock so hard we all about fell out of our seats, which was an acheivemnet considering the boat can only go 2-3 miles an hours. After the amazing boat ride, we waited for 15-20mins for the other boat to come back (guessing the boat ride was supposed to last more then 5 mins) Once they were back she said, alright, "meet yall at the top".. This was the most disappointing tour of any attraction I have ever been on, not because of the cave, the cave was absolutely gorgeous and mind blowing, would have loved to actually have learned something about it. Again, I understand that people have to learn and be trained, but if you are going to do that you should atleast have the "trainer" step in and make sure the tour actually goes well.. And this girl might not have been training, Im just guessing and hoping that was the case because she was so awful I was embarrassed for her. We ended up recording her at every just so we could post it to make sure people know what the Lost Sea has become.. And right now the name fits perfectly well because management is most definitely "LOST".
