About this activity

Long Island Children's Museum is a hands-on museum for kids and their grown-ups where play and learning are rolled into one! Each of the exhibits within the museum teach kids something new, allow them to develop their senses and skills, and they can learn and explore at their own pace!

Kids can step inside an enormous bubble and use giant wands to make a room full of fun and playful bubbles, or they can tap, clap and bounce into a world of percussion instruments! Great for those musical kids!

Active kids will love the crazy yet safe Climb-It, where the fun climbing sculpture encourages independence, freedom and exploration.

For those little ones, the Long Island Children's Museum offers TotSpot, where they can enjoy play in the little town. They can explore the local lighthouse, or shop at the farmer's market. They can sort the mail at the post office, or even catch a train at the train station!

Kids can discover and test what makes an object a tool in the Tool Box, or if you love live animals, the Feasts for Beasts is the exhibit for you! Live animal habitats invite kids to identify prey and predators, carnivores, herbivores and of course, omnivores!

There are exhibits on geometry, balance and gravity, exhibits to show kids the joy of fixing something that has mended, or you can explore the beaches from Montauk to Brooklyn on Sandy Island!

Learning, exploration and discovery IS fun at Long Island Children's Museum, where as long as you are playing, the fun won't have to end!
