Where are we going today?

There is SO much history in New York State, and not all of it is ABOVE ground!

Lockport Cave and Underground Boat Tour takes you on an exciting 70 minute historical adventure through America's past.

The historic Erie Canal has many stories to tell, and everyone who visits gets to hear all about them! Locks 67-71 were constructed all the way back in 1838, and it's from these you can also explore other historic features, such as ruins from the industrial revolution, and a water tunnel that was blasted out of one piece of solid rock!

Of course, you're underground, so there are those incredible geological formations such as stalactites and flow stones to admire.

Kids - keep an eye out for artifacts left behind within the cave by all the men who actually built the tunnel over 150 years ago!

Then, you have that fun underground boat ride! This unique and mysterious experience is a one of a kind adventure. You will take on the USA's longest underground boat ride, and really get a sense of history from the canal's building, and also how incredible nature is.

It's not just the boat tour that is popular with Lockport Cave and Underground Boat Tour. You can experience the cave in a whole new "light" with the Evening Lantern Tour, and if you are feeling REALLY brave, you can take on the caves with the Ghost Hunters Experience!

Suitable for older members of the family, you can spend 4 hours investigating one of the most historic and hidden secrets that New York State has to offer.

You might meet some of the men who built the tunnel too...BOO!

Great fun in New York State with Lockport Cave!

Interesting history of area and man-made tunnel/cave. Friendly staff, enjoyable for adults and children. A bit pricey for a family.

My husband and I went for the haunted caves tour near Halloween. In the beginning we were really excited seeing the setup and the location, but when the tour started it was such a big disappointment. At every stop there would be a person dressed up in a costume and would be telling a so called scary story and after that he would ask you to proceed to his friend who is waiting.

Last but not the least the boat ride is biggest disappointment. They will make you all sit in a boat and would row for 5 mins and then bring it back to the initial point....Read More

Once I saw this place on Ghost Hunters, I had to make the 31/2 hour trip hear to tour this place. The dude selling the tickets was very friendly, and our tour guide Jason was excellent. Very knowledgeable, courteous, and made the group part of the experience. No ghost....at least that I came across :-) but well worth it. I highly recommend it . Especially if you are interested in history of Lockport .

If you want to experience the caves then do it some other time not during HAlloween, because they charge so much during these days. DO NOT PAY FOR THAT STUPID BOAT RIDE.
