The Larz Anderson Auto Museum is a wonderful resource for bringing the classroom to life! Our Automotive Exhibits provide fascinating stories of the far-reaching changes the automobile has provided modern society. From rich man’s toy to everyday necessity, the rise of suburban culture, changing patterns in courtship — the automobile has changed our everyday practices. These topics are explored in depth through text, video, and historic artifacts. The Museum has prepared 16 grade level lessons on the automobile and its impact on society. Along with these lessons the Museum also has many different automotive programs for ages preschool to high school. The 16 grade level lessons have been tailored to fit the Massachusetts Learning Standards. Cannot come to the Museum? Inquire about our Educational Outreach program; let a Museum educator come to your school! Although the car shows in summer are impressive, the number of cars in the museum is small. About $5 worth of museum at a $10 admission price.
