Take your pick: swimming, fishing, birding, boating of all kinds, waterskiing, camping, hiking or just plain relaxing and enjoying unsurpassed natural beauty. It's all here . . . at Lake Claiborne State Park. For fishermen, the freshwater lake was lavishly stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill sunfish, channel catfish, black crappie, striped bass, chain pickerel, bream, and white perch. The lake itself, at full reservoir level, has a surface area of 6,400 acres.

possibly the cleanest state park i have ever been to. only stayed in a camping spot, so I can't speak for the cabins, but the park was very well kept with some extremely nice bathrooms. This was the one of the few state parks I have ever been to that had hand soap in the bathrooms. Showers were great also. Beautiful lake. Great park.

This is by far the nicest cleanest most friendly state park I have ever been to. The cabins are awesome, they have wi-fi and all have a good view. Visited many times. Cabins are around $100 a night and well worth it. Love it!
