Where are we going today?

It's so lovely when you find a family campground when you want to extend your family day out to longer, and with Lake City Campground you will find just that!

Lake City Campground knows what families want out of an experience - because they are a family too! The newly renovated campground has all the amenities you would want out of a camping experience, with the fun amenities for those active kids!

There are 40 RV sites, which include pull through, fitted out with water, sewer, electric, wifi (of course!) and cable. 30 of these sites have 50/30 amp, and 25 are paved. With a mix of sunny and shady spots you can also pick which ones your family would prefer!

For the kids, they are in luck because there is a fantastic swimming pool to cool down in those summer days, as well as a recreation room with a pool table, pinball machine, video games, board games and even a tv (but we hope you don't spend too much time watching it - there is nature to enjoy!)

Pets are welcome too, as long as they stay on a leash.

The setting of Lake City Campground is perfect for those nature lovers. They are right by the Osceola National Forest, and just close from the iconic Suwannee River. Active kids will love that they are close to the popular tubing spot on the river, and only 20 miles from Ichetucknee Springs State Park - another popular tubing spot! Fishing and swimming is also permitted in many lake areas and rivers as well, so don't forget those swimmers!

At only 4.7 miles from the center of town too, what's not to love!

A great family experience with nature, camping, and fun!

I have traveled around the world and I understand the difficulty of dealing with the public. I DO NOT understand how a property manager could be so delusional as to believe that in this day of instant media the public's opinion doesn't matter. As for this property, I will echo the opinion of others on this board. It has been a long time since I, as a paying customer, have been treated so rudely. The desk person, who identified herself as an owner, was just downright mean, not just in person but on the phone as well. Because check-in time was NO...Read More

This is a very nice campground... This has been my third stay here since attending the annual folk music festival. The park is very well maintained and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Been that way every time I have come up and is the reason I keep coming back. Yes, they have rules as ALL parks have, but if people would behave themselves, we wouldn't need rules. The office hours are a little funny, but they tell you that at the time your reservation is made. It doesn't stop you from getting to your site as all the information you...Read More

Worst we have had. The lady behind the desk at check in was rude and condescending. We had a couple of friends from the local area that came to visit and she let me know they were not allowed to use our toilet facility in our own motor home because it was using her water. The water pressure was terrible so we just used our tank. The office was a pile of junk and the place looks nothing like the pictures on the internet. We will never recommned and will also tell Good Sam the same.

We stayed here almost a year ago and just now writing a review. We found the staff friendly and helpful, the grounds and facilities clean and cared for, and the atmosphere was peaceful.
If we are again in Lake City we will stay here.

We would not stay here again. They are a little too protective of their water (almost not existent) and the front desk person is just plain rude. So many rules! We needed to get some propane, but did not buy from them as it is hard to catch them open and I did not want to have to talk to this woman again.

The desk person, who identified herself as an owner, was just downright mean, not just in person but on the phone as well. Because check-in time was NO EARLIER than 4pm we did not have time to find another place to spend the night. I will also add that these folks padlock the pool at 7pm. My advice, there are many campgrounds in this area.....DRIVE PAST LAKE CITY CAMPGROUND.

It doesn't stop you from getting to your site as all the information you need is posted on a board should you arrive between office hours. Nothing wrong with that as I've been other places that do the same thing.
