Koke'e Natural History Museum is a small museum but with a big heart in Kauai (and it's open 365 days a year!) This charming museum (with a stunning view!) features interpretive programs and exhibitions all about Kaua'i' s ecology, geology and climatology.
In fact, they offer a great overview of the natural and cultural history that highlights the unique story of one of the most beautiful places on the planet!
Within the exhibits, you can see valuable botanical prints dating back to 1885, as well as mounted native forest birds and game animals. Get up close to nature as you see and feel samples of wood from the forest trees, with many actually only found on the Hawai'ian islands!
If you want to explore the region after your visit, the Kokee Natural History Museum also provides basic information on trail conditions in Waimea Canyon and Koke'e State Parks. Keep that adventure going!

Follow Road 550 north and pass the 15-mile marker. Turn left just after passing the park headquarters. The Koke'e Natural History Museum will be on the right side next to Koke'e Lodge and just before the campground.
