Where are we going today?

If you are looking for some adventure, it doesn't always have to be on land!

Kern River Outfitters are a great way to explore the beautiful wilderness of California, as you take to the waters of Kern River.

They offer a number of tours and excursions, that range from full days to multiple days, so you can find the perfect adventure for your family!

There are three areas of the river that you can explore. The Upper Kern offers you the full day rafting tour on class III and IV rapids. There are a number of different sections to take on, and your experienced guides will choose the best section for you each day (which means you will always get the best adventure!)

If you want to REALLY challenge yourselves, then why not book on the Thunder Run? When the water conditions are perfect, those with prior experience can take on some of the biggest rapids in the area! Not ideal for younger kids or first timers, it certainly can give you the challenge and thrills that you are after!

Then, you have the Lower Kern. Here, you can enjoy overnight or two-day trips that still give you some unique experiences, including camping out on the riverside. You can sleep on your private sleeping decks around the site, and summer is so lovely you won't need any special camping gear!

Kern River Outfitters have been recognized as one of the premiere rafting outfitters on the entire Kern River, so you know you are in safe hands with the experienced guides. They will look after you, offer you the best campsites for those overnighters, and cook up some pretty special camp meals!

So why not have some family adventure out in Kern County? It's a great way for those older kids to get out and enjoy nature!

Fantastic! First white water rafting experience and couldn't have been better! We did the all day White Salmon River raft trip & guide, Katie A was wonderful & enthusiastic in sharing the river & it's history. Everything was a blast, the rapids, jumping from the cliff to below the falls, going over Husum Falls and the sheer beauty all around. Wet Planet is great! Not just the trip but all the behind the scenes that make it work: knowledgeable staff that are organized and on time, good food, the extras, like GoPro rental and wonderful photos...Read More

Top notch operation! Knowledgeable guide Rich was the best. The staff were all thorough, fun, and concerned for our safety. Most of our large group had never been before, but with their expert instruction, we were all seasoned pros by the end. I had such a great time, I booked another trip 2 days later! Thank you, Wet Planet!

One of the best whitewater rafting experiences I've had (this was my 6th). We did the White Salmon River half day trip. Really fun rapids and a really active trip. Dave Seal was our guide and he was great: fun and laid back while still engaging and professional.

Our whole family got together for a day of rafting at Wet Planet. It was the best day I could have hoped for! Our guides Toby and Andy were fabulous. Even though we had to take 2 boats, they kept us close so it never really felt like we were split up. When I think back now, the guides have so much to stay aware of all while making sure we have fun. This was the first time whitewater rafting for most of us but everything was explained as we went along which made it easy and much less scary than I had imagined. The river was gorgeous and we were blessed...Read More

Active owners who are on the river...I want to come back & try Wind River..if only didn't live half the country away. Well worth the money:)

The river was gorgeous and we were blessed with fabulous weather in Sept. too. I can't give Wet Planet credit for the weather but I'd definitely go back to them for another great day on the White Salmon River!
