This was a great experience for my whole family. We enjoyed seeing the animals and interacting with them. Unfortunately the bat exhibit was closed for remodeling when we were there. The kids (me too) loved going in with the birds and hand-feeding them nectar. This was the first time I had ever touched a kangaroo. The cave tour was short but nice, my toddler was betting to go again! The cafe food was unbelievable! My husband and I were there August 13, 2014. Had a fabulous time. The animals were great (loved petting the Kangaroo) and the staff were all amazing. I highly recommend a visit.

Please note that this is a review only for the Massive Onyx Cave tour, not the entire Kentucky Down Under area.
The cave is short, but it's a pretty nice cave. It's not lit, so all of the lighting comes from headlamps provided for the tour. None of the formations are pristine as they have all clearly been touched a lot. There was, however, a really interesting-looking "cthulhu" formation at the end.

Seems pricey at first but this isn't some road side tourist trap. Everyone is super friendly. There are a lot of hands on activities. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable. You can spend all day here so plan accordingly. Would definitely go back.

You don't expect much for food at this type of place but a lot of it was made from scratch by a woman named Jodi who was very helpful when it came to our food allergies/sensitivities. One of us is allergic to pepper and 2 of us a gluten-free but we all ate well. The Chilli was absolutely Delicious on the all beef hot dogs (no bun) and FRITOS!
