Save your gas money and go somewhere else. Our plan was to go horseback riding and ziplining. Jesse James stables had shoddy horse tack (except for the guides horse). First time I've ever been anywhere where they didn't adjust the stirrups to each person which was a problem as you had nothing to steady yourself in the saddle, especially when the horse trotted. The stirrups where the break-away kind & some of them were even broken. The guide told us that was when the horse rubbed up against the tree & not to worry about it. We paid for the...Read More

Please note that this is a review for the Outlaw Cave in Kentucky Action Park, not the other attractions in the park.

The cave tour is a short one, and there are a few huge formations. There are some very tight passageways at the end of the tour, which is a nice change of pace. It seems like there are still some areas they could open up to lengthen the tour in the future. The tour guide was inexperienced, but made up for it with enthusiasm.

One mystery, however, is how cold the cave was... much colder than the other caves in the Mammoth Cave area....Read More

For $25/person, we stayed all day, went for lunch, and came back again. Accessing the park was easy since they are just a mile or two off of Interstate 65. The kids loved it so much, we ended up getting a hotel for an extra night because we stayed til close and didn't want to head back to Indiana after a long day of so much fun. All of the attractions were great, the zip line was AMAZING and the 3/$100 deal can't be beat! I absolutely cannot forget to mention how super friendly and helpful the staff was. Each and everyone of the park staff...Read More

I'll give this park two stars because I don't know if I would have liked it or not -- let me explain. My girlfriend and I planned this trip and it looked fantastic on the web, especially since I've really been wanting to go ziplining. We get to the park, apparently a little early and this extremely old lady comes up to the counter. I thought, "Down home country charm, this is what I want." My girlfriend goes to the counter and said, "yeah, we're really excited, what do we need to do to get started?" The old lady looks at her with a frown and...Read More

For $25 a wrist band kids had a blast. Just be mindful that the kids will have to be a certain height to enjoy all the activities unless accompanied as a passenger by an adult ie... bumper carts and go carts. Alpine slide was a complete blast. Please give children firm instructions on keeping their hands in cart used for slide.

We paid for the hour ride but only went for maybe 45 minutes & that included getting everyone on their horse. The guide blamed it on the kids in the group saying they were making the horses go to fast. The only time mine went faster than a walk was when the guide whistled. I also heard him saying that the last group had complained of the same "short" ride. After seeing how little they cared about safety, etc with the horses I didn't dare try the zip line or anything else. We ended up going to Eagles Wings Zeipline in Leopold, IN. I would highly recommend them!!

One mystery, however, is how cold the cave was... much colder than the other caves in the Mammoth Cave area. It had to be about 50 degrees in the cave, about as cold as you'd expect from caves in Minnesota or Wisconsin.

You'll have to come back when it's open." "Okay, my gf says, but what else is available?" The old lady looks at her. So there you have it. We left immediately and went to Mammoth Cave Ziplining where the people were incredibly friendly and we had a blast! I don't know if Kentucky Action Park would have been fun or not, but the lack of a smile and a friendly voice cost this "Action Park" about a 150.00 today. I'll never go there.
